I should do this for Belle - take photos of all the cards with exact same photo. Belle isn't Griffey by any stretch of the imagination but it's just becoming redundant to be honest. Same picture and just different position on card and different color, etc.

Crappy if you ask me.

I think the Lou Brock pic is the same from last year's tribute to this year's. Our at least from the same powder blue jersey year

Yeah I see them , I meant use those , plus any others and parallels so you could see the entire run.

Slides / images / rights, although they do have some cost , they aren't crazy. I've bought some from guys and paid under $8 for Clark's. It would be well worth the investment to create something new. I shouldn't be, but still find myself amazed at some of the ways things are done.

Here's what I don't get.....

This repeating image thing is a huge problem with Warren Spahn (see pics below), but as you can see, not all of those releases are Topps. Images repeat over multiple manufacturers (Topps, Donruss Playoff LP, and Upper Deck), and over multiple releases within each company. (Between Topps Heritage, Bowman Heritage, Leaf Limited, Leaf Sportscasters, Absolute Memorabilia, and Playoff, 2004 was a particularly rich year for this image.) They even reused this image as a painting in 2010 Chicle!!!

I know it doesn't excuse a company of repeating an image this many times, but is there something more to this that we just don't know about?

(notice some minor alterations like the "B" or "M" on the cap...still same pic, though)
(also notice they like to turn these repetitive images into repetitive art cards, as well)


Btw...sorry for all the pics, but I rarely post anything from my collection so I thought this would be a good opportunity.

See that would irritate me as well and I understand what your trying to say but your going over multiple companies in a span of 6 years. This is THE ONE company that can produce logo'd cards doing it in a span of 3 years product and the latter year just coming out.

They have done the same with Rickeys cards, and I havent bought any since 2011. Working 2005 and down, and slowly getting tired of the hobby, sadly...

It can be a beating. Like 25 new Belles hit with Tribute. Same picture. Same auto. Same types of print runs. Same prices. Blah blah blah
