What is the best way/program to track what I spend on cards and what I sell them for on eBay, to know what my profit is... but on a mass scale? I have a Mac, if that matters...

For example;

Won - 1993 SP Johnny Damon - 5 total- paid average of $3.76 each
Sold - 1993 SP Johnny Damon - 4 sold - sold for $7.89 each, for a total of $16.52 profit

Or something like that, with a running total on the profit, and obviously set up in a correct and easy to use way. Help would be appreciated... I really don't want to do it all by hand.

excell or if your are feeling technically savvy you could use access (the mac versions, if they exist)

google spreadsheets work too. accessible anywhere and don't have to worry about losing a file if a computer crashes.

I know it will. It is the same thing as excel, but online and you don't need any programs to use it other than a web browser.

I do:
first 5 columns (card information: player, year, set, #, SN)
column 6 (purchase date)
column 7 (purchase price)
column 8 (sale date)
column 9 (net sale)
column 10 (net sale - purchase price)

Then do a sum of column 10 for your total.

Don't really use them, but do an excel spreadsheet, catalog all the cards of interest. Include 6 columns in this order (card, paid, sold, (paypal fees), (ebay fees), profit) Anything in parenthesis is a subtraction.

Basically anything you use, whether it be Excel or some small business software, is going to require some level of computer literacy and a little bit of learning the program. I mean, entire college classes are devoted to learning spreadsheets. But in a matter of a few hours you could take an Excel sheet and make it do what you want it to do. The learning is mostly figuring out how the formulas and cells.

Thank you very much everyone... I'm on the Google one right now, trying to figure it out. How do I get the total profit for all cards I post on it?

I keep track of all my sales in Excel, which is easy for me because I've used it for a long time. If you want to get a true profit, don't forget to include Ebay fees, Paypal fees, what you charge for shipping, how much you paid for shipping and how much you paid for materials (bubble mailer, toploader, etc.). If you just use what you paid for it and what you sold it for you will get a profit higher than what it actually is.
