Thanks guys! Contacting eBay sellers that have undetailed Dawson lots up for sale finally paid off! If someone has an "Andre Dawson 300 Card Lot" for sale on eBay, I usually send the first part of my want list (1977 - 1993) to them via PM and ask if any of those cards are included in the lot. This time the Aqueous Test was! I asked what he would want for it if the lot didn't sell and he said $5.00. I jumped on it!

I thought SGC only gave the Authentic grade to this issue? Anyway that is a great card for a great price!

braves2008champs - I agree! When I purchased it, I didn't even know that it was graded. For $5.00, condition didn't make a difference to me. Although, I'm not an expert on grading, I think it looks better than the grade it was given.

Jack Straw - I don't have any idea about how they authenticate/grade these. I never really followed the grading thing to be honest. As a matter of fact, other than my Andre Dawson PSA 9 Rookie, this is the only graded card I own!

SGC used to grade Aqueous and stopped sometime over 2 months ago.

An aqueous coating is a fast-drying, water-based, protective coating which is applied in-line on press to attain a selection of finishes more economical price than varnish.

This clear coating provides a high gloss surface which protects the surface from dirt, smudges, fingerprints and scratch. Aqueous coating improves postcards durability as they go through mail or inserted in pockets. It is also applied on brochures, catalog covers, flyers and other visual ads."

My guess is they don't say "Agueous Test" on them.
