Please don't start the stupid decade starting in 2001 argument. Every other decade in baseball begins with the year ending in zero, and ends in the year ending in nine, so here you go (minimum of 3000 ABs and 1000 IP for BA, OPS+, ERA and WHIP):

HRs: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/92p4Y
435 Alex Rodriguez
368 Jim Thome

RBIs: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/VQXgY
1243 Alex Rodriguez
1112 Albert Pujols (in 9 seasons)

2030 Ichiro (in 9 seasons)
1940 Derek Jeter

Batting Average: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/XdRyM
.334 Albert Pujols
.333 Ichiro

OPS+: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/6GYJ4
221 Barry Bonds
172 Albert Pujols

Wins: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/gpkFp
148 Andy Pettitte
143 Randy Johnson

Strikeouts: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/AufQQ
2182 Randy Johnson
2001 Javier Vazquez

ERA: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/RUY8a

3.12 Johan Santana

WHIP: http://www.baseball-reference.com/pi/shareit/yy7ZT

If Ichiro would take a walk once in a while, he'd be a lot higher. Ten more walks per year, same number of hits, would raise his average from .33284 to .33783, so basically a 5 point jump.

This is the stat that surprises me the most

I thought Ichiro would be above Pujols
At first glance, It cought me off guard too. But when context of said players is applied, it makes more sence. Personally, I am astonished at how well Ichiro has done!

as of about a month ago(maybe more) I looked this up and it was Ichi at 334 and Al at 333 .... they were neck and neck for a while, but Ichiros 2009 avg. dropped 10+ points I believe.

What Amazes me is that Vlad Guerrero and Albert Pujols are the only 2 players in the top 10 in all those offensive category's :o .

Good to see Roy at #3, 6, 9 and 12. I think he is maybe 5 or 6 in ERA+ too. He might be top 3 in quality start percentage as well. Oswalt beat out Sabathia by one win to be the leader since 2001. Oswalt didn't pitch in 2000 like the five guys ahead of him just an fyi. :)
