best question ive heard yet from an ebay buyer

sorry guys, i would answer that way every time. I could care less about a dick like that whether im being one or not. In 10 years selling and almost 20,000 transactions it was a 1st for me, and it isnt like he is the only buye rleft on ebay. I have dozens of regular guys that will want that auction no problem. I enjoyed my response, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Now if i owned a stroe in a mall or somewhere else, would have been totally different, but ebay? they already suck, and i could care less about the suckholes that buy on there who arent my regular hardcore buyers. That question was absolutley pathetic and he deserved that answer, i should have known all you high and mighty's would sound off they way you have. beyond amazing

I guess you have no room for any more hardcore buyers...You will never know if this "suckhole" would have spent a great deal of money with you. After all, didnt you say these were high end Reggie Bush autos? I think you shot yourself in the foot on this one...not like you care though

Maybe dude thinks he's a lawyer-type and is archiving evidence for when he actually gets the item. That way, if he thinks it's fake, he can say you knowing sold him a POS card.

I would venture to guess that's the case exactly. He is possibly interested in the card and feels good about it; however, he wanted a documented statement from the seller that the card is/was whole. He may have very well been one of those "hardcore" buyers.

Sadly, 20k feedback isn't a direct reflection of one's credibility as a seller...the Kevin Burges of the world prove that.

I have to say, one of my pet peeves with some sellers is how they act as if they are doing me a favor by taking my money...

Why is it so stupid? If you state it is not trimmed, and he goes to have it graded and it is trimmed, he can win in court.
Also, Why would you chase off a potential buyer. What's your sellers ID?

I get similar questions ALL of the time...I usually just say "not that I am aware of....please review the large scan and make your own judgements".

Eh, may be douchy but I wouldn't worry about selling to that buyer anyways. If he is already suspicious why deal with selling to him and further accusations he may have later.

You wouldn't be suspicious buying something commonly altered, online, from a stranger, without seeing the card in person??

If a person is shady enough to sell altered cards, what makes you think they would be honest enough to admit the card has been changed? Its a legitimate question to have but one that is insulting to ask a seller. I may not have responded in the same manner, but I don't think this is a buyer I want to be dealing with if he is already questioning the authenticity of what is being sold.

yea I also tend to be a smartass when people ask dumb questions but I learned my lesson the hard way. the person, who obviously took offense, created a fake account and bid one of my auctions up about $1,000 over what it was worth. it was a pain in the ass to get taken care of, I figured it couldn't hurt to be a tad nicer and I'd avoid those situations in the future :lol:

Basically every eBay thread you've started has made you come off extremely arrogant and abrasive--you're not doing yourself any favors.

many times things come off different in text than in person too...
You complain about what he could have said, and perhaps you could have said it differently too.

even today, if I am buying high end cards I will ask questions to get a feel for the seller. I am usually more willing to pay higher for sellers that I feel just bust a lot of wax, than sellers I feel are cross-graders, sub-bumpers, flippers, etc...
There could be a lot of reasons, and you never know, he may very well be smarter than you or I....
