I can't think of a better base chrome set.

2005 is great, but some of the best cards are autos

same with 2006, and 2003, and 2008

You're absolutely right that 07 has a shot at beating it, BUT.

2002 has 500 TOTAL parallels per player (300 refs, 150 xfr, 50 gold)

2007 has 500 base refractors, and 299 refs, and 199 blues, and 50 golds and 25 orange and 5 red, and 1 super, and 8 plates..... about 1086 parallels

Also,

2002 guys typically DONT have a better card out there,

2007 guys have a TON of better cards out there including the 2008 Bowman Chrome auto that basically cuts their value in half.

I agree, and I also think '02 is the best looking of the Bowman sets.
The refractors are beautiful.

I totally agree player wise, i just think the fact that 07 cards have same year Sterling autos, same year elite autos and next year chrome autos to compete with keeps the set held back a bit.

Yeah there are too many cards from them, the 02 guys just had Premire Prospects and that's it, not Sterling, EEE, and bunch of other stuff, just goes to show how much things have changed.
