Who do you choose?

I say it is between the Giants and the Yankees with the Giants winning.

i'm going with the Red Sox, Yankees, Dbacks (if Webb is healthy)

Mariners and Tigers have big time potential.

Giants aren't even the best in their own division, but Lincy and Cain are solid. After that, eh. i guess Bumgarner might surprise.

**** was non-tendered, making him a free agent. I too thought he would be a decent fit in a back of the rotation type role. After all he has two 19 win seasons under his belt, but he is currently a free agent.

Before the Vasquez trade it would be very hard to argue against the Braves having the best rotation. We're talking about having Tommy Hanson as a #3 started and Tim Hudson as a #4.

Webb
Haren
Jackson

If (and that's a big if, but hey, so is every other team at this point) they are all healthy, arguably top 3 rotation in baseball

the yankees are buildling one of those "fall apart" rotations again though. Thankfully they're not signing long-term deals, but you get the feeling that Vazquez and Burnett could pull a Brown/Pavano impersonation.

Thankfully, they won't be starting Tanyan Sturtze, Jon Leiber and Estaban Lioza, if the big-boys fall apart.

If I were a Yankees fan, I 'd be worried because this roster is developing into a perfect candidate for 200 Million and 500 Games Lost to Injury type seasons.

It's just like super hot chicks that're single. You know something really screwed up is going to happen, or that she'll only have 1 leg or something.

Easily the Red Sox

If they are not the best 1-5 then they are definitely the best 1-3...

The Red Sox have the best 1-3, but not the 1-5.
Well Matsuzaka will be healthy....and then Wake/Buchholz for #5

Can't get much better than that IMO

I'll take best 1-3 though :)

The Red Sox have the best 1-3, but not the 1-5.

Dice won 18 games not too long ago and Clay looked like he really started to pull things together at the end of last year.

The Red Sox or Yankees, however the Yankees rotation has significantly more injury/sucking risk.

Carpenter, Wainwright, Penny, Lohse, Garcia is damn solid.

First 2 are locks for Cy-Young contention, Penny + Lohse easily have the potential to win 16, 17 games.

THE TIGERS.

Even if they don't have the best 1-5 or the best 1-3, they have the best 1-2.

K that's just not true at all. But I like to think that it will be in about two years.

I think the Yankees have the best names in their rotation but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are the best rotation. I think the Red AND White Sox both have great rotations that are only going to get better with time.

The Giants belong in the discussion but Lincecum and Cain are really the only two guys worth talking about IMO.
