ebay (duh!)
thepit
sportslots
sportsbuy

... am I missing somewhere? I'm asking because I'm going to be picking up smaller stuff since I recently decided to collect everything Justin Upton. In the past I've mostly stuck with buying from ebay.

Also, if anyone has any tips on which of these sites is better, or what are the pros and cons of them. I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

Every card ships from the same warehouse, so you potentially save a ton on shipping.

I agree. I love this site and have gotten both PC items and steals that I flipped on Ebay.

I was going to mention the same one. I LOVE the place, and I intend to fatten up my Dontrelle Willis and Miguel Montero collections over '09 there.

Beckett has some good sellers.

The problem I have had with Beckett (on 4 occassion's) which has turned me off to that marketplace is buying early on a "breakout" type card/player & paying for it, then a week later receiving a refund because the seller's are able to claim that the card was "out of stock" at the time of purchase (which is basically bullshat, it's an easy way for a seller to get away with not having to sell a card that they underpriced, or because the card has taken a substantial or noticeable increase) :? Being that I try to buy ahead of the curve on my investment's, this is a very poor way for a marketplace to be run (my last purchase's on Beckett Marketplace were right before the M.Cassell era & I had purchased a B.Chrome rc "bronze" refractor #d/50 auto for $15.99 dlvd....I received the refund a week & a half later...needless to say "4 strike's & you're out")! :D

Sportsbuy used to be great(when they were naxcom) but they never have any pictures and the sellers have been super dead beats as of lately.I actually don't really even buy from there any more.Plus...if your one of those anal people...some of the sellers ship in PWE format so do not buy from there unless your comfortable with this practice.

Sportslots is great but just about everybody there ships in PWE.I actually prefer this though because it makes the shipping dirt cheap.Plus...most of the harder to find cards for my player collection don't book much anyway so I do not mind getting them PWE.

Ebay is what it is.There are usually always pictures and there are some steals to be had.The only problems are shipping is higher there and for the most part...I think more colelctors use these sites so your going to possibly have to fight off kore people when buying from ebay as opposed to say sportsbuy or sportslots.

The other sites I have not used yet so I cannot comment.

checkoutmycards.com is great for buyers and sellers. I have had almost $4000 in sales since May. 95% of this was stuff just collecting dust!

You have nice stuff on there. I just noticed you must have sent in a new batch because all the newest stuff there was from you. I just sent in my first batch about 2 weeks ago. 900 cards that were collecting dust. I will see how it goes.
