Best trade ever in your favor that you made!

How's this for starters?

It's early 1997. Jose Cruz Jr is HOT. 97 Bowman not out yet.

I buy some uber-SP rare valuable minor league card of Cruz cheap at a card show, Destination the SHOW or something like that. BV like $200 or more.
I paid $30 before there was any hype of Cruz b/c my roommate at the time was from Seattle and loved the kid, he tipped me off and he was right for a while then Cruz petered out but he was a shooting star OMG.

Anyway, guy trades me for this ONE Cruz card the following...

1993 SP Derek Jeter RC
1994 SP AROD RC
and countless other less memorable cards including Frank Thomas and Cal Ripken stuff as I recall. He wanted the Cruz bad. :mrgreen:

So of course, that's a great trade for me!!

the Cruz tanked (like I knew it would) and I had two top RC's of Jeter & AROD both of which were just about to fly.
I wonder if he ever regrets that trade, he must... :lol:

Before his call-up, I purchased a 2004 DEEE Blue auto /20 of Gallardo. When his stuff started exploding, I traded it for a Ryan Braun Chrome auto and a 2005 Trilogy Prince Fielder RC auto.

Even to this day, that trade would still be awesome. Keep in mind that Gallardo got called up before Braun that year.
