BGS Grades Popped.... a little surprised

I sent in my two Posey autos for a quick grade last week and the grades have already been posted..... pretty quick, the deadline wasn't until this Thursday.

The blue ref didnt meet minimum grade of 9.5 but the refractor did. Go figure, I thought the blue was a lock. Glad about the refractor b/c I really didnt think it was 9.5 worthy. I'll post scans below of the cards side by side and see what you guys think.

Yeah thats what I'm hoping. I'll definitely be resubmitting it in the next batch.

Hopefully I'll get the ref 9.5 back in time to get it listed on ebay right before Christmas.... although this might not be the best time for auctions over the next couple of days, maybe a nice BIN/BO.

Wow. I think the OP should have it slabbed just to see the grades, then pop it if he's unhappy.

Yeah, that's what I would have done. I do feel the refractor looks nicer than the blue.

Sorry about the BLue, but Philip is right. Looks OC top to bottom.

Blue looks OC Top bottom bt just a bit. Very nice card and congrats on 1 9.5. We should re-sub our blues (your posey, my lincy and posey) and see if we can get 9.5 second time around

dude, did you do the 5 day service? if so, when did they receive it before posting your grades? you're saying it took only 3 days, correct?

i ask because i too sent 4 cards that arrived yesterday the 15th but gave me a deadline for the 22nd. i was hoping it would pop up friday or earlier

Thanks Russ. It didn't look OC in person, I think the scan throws it off a little.

I'd be cool with that if you wanted to send me your cards for the submission. I don't know if I would be interested in the 5 day again, b/c I've got about 10 cards or so that I could send in and wouldnt want that large of a bgs bill, lol. Just let me know.

Thanks Dave. Yeah, I did the 5 day. It shows they were rec'd the 11th but I didn't get the email they were rec'd until the 12th, so thats when I thought the time started from. Status showed grades posted today and were also mailed. I thought it seemed fast b/c I didn't know weekends would count in the time period, I guess they do. Pretty cool. I might try to send in a few more b/f Christmas
