He also being shopped around to the teams with the top 10 picks also from what a few people say. They're hoping to complete a trade before tomorrow nights draft. He has a problem and I hope he gets the help he needs.

If he doesn't get traded: They'll still have an ok shot at making the playoffs, as either Dixon or Leftwich will fill in nicely for the 6 games (might get reduced to 4). Leftwich played good the few games he started while Ben was hurt back in '08 and Dixon played good last year against the Ravens.

If he get's traded: I don't see them making the playoffs, but you never know. I guess it would depend on how the rest of the team plays. If the defense came become dominant again, they have a shot.

Bravo to Roger Goodell.

Without question Goodell is the only commissioner who truly seems to have a soul and a spine while seeing the big picture. He understands that no player is bigger than the league and has stood his ground since his first day on the job.

If the most recent event was the only one on Big Ben's tab then 6 games would be too harsh, but clearly after speaking with Ben, he realized that this was the logical solution.

We are not talking Peyton Manning here. ..They will be fine. Just change styles. When you have a got like Mendenhall not that hard to do. The reason he had crazy stats last year is the defense could not get off the field and always played from behind it seemd. They need to right the defense ship. The offense will score. I am finally glad for low expectations myself. Will be good for them. Put it this way you put him in Oakland or some place like that he would stink. He was drafted to a great situation just like a guy like Romo to a good Cowboys team.
He stays then he will pick up the pieces and have solid contributions for the team

BTW I love how the press keeps scrolling the evaluation deal like it is something crazy or odd.

That's a ton of games, wow, I expected maybe 4 and that seemed a bit much.

Wish the Dolphins got them in the first 4 games.......though who knows, maybe game 6 is not that bad either, since Ben would have only started one game at that point (as most are guessing) and hopefully will still be rusty.

It's the NFL so I'm not going to kid myself and pretend there's any way to be certain about potential playoff teams......but wouldn't you have to think Pittsburgh making the playoffs is going to be a long shot?

Maybe Polamalu coming back will make the difference and the D will be back and lead them......but they didn't make the playoffs last year. Ben is out at least a quarter of the season, they lost other guys (like Holmes) ans the biggest thing to me is that a lot of the teams in the AFC seem to have gotten stronger. As I said, most anything can happen (it's not like their the Lions or Browns or something), but if I had to make predictions they would not be in any of my playoff scenarios.

I was a little shocked at how badly it seems Pittsburgh wants to get him out of town. Talk about lack of support from the organization and city for that matter.

I don't think it was media driven. Roethlisberger has judgment issues, and Goodell decided to take action.

TOTALLY media driven. Her side of the story has been everywhere, you dont read anywhere about how she followed him all night, kept trying to get to him through Willie Colon, kept pinching Ben, and showing him her name tag that said DTF and asking him if he knew what that means... You only read that if you go through the 500 pages of police reports, something that none of the media except the gazette ran a paragraph on.
