I remember when Razor/BG got found out selling all those Inkworks cards on another ebay ID. At the time I found it interesting at how much Exquisite 2008 Football he was selling. It looked like that ID busted a lot of Exquisite. I can't even remember what ID is, anyone remember it? Would be interesting to go back and see how much UD stuff they were selling.

Interesting thought. Could UD have been selling it's own product, that wasn't even packed out, through Brian? Why would they have it opened and then re-sold? Seems risky. Just another conspiracy theory to muster, lol.

Edit - Maybe part of Brian's "payment" from UD was cases of UD product... ;)

Seems to me like they are selling off UD product that wasn't packed out, like extra replacement stuff that was never sent and the like. Among other things.

"If you recall, Razor has an exclusive contract to produce trading cards of #1 draft pick, Tim Beckham. Ironically, 2008 Bowman Chrome was considered to have a less than stellar checklist according to many serious prospectors. Like them or not, Razor made a serious dent in the prospect card market in 2008."

It would appear that he has no idea what he is talking about. A guy drafted in 08 would not have an effect on 08 Chrome. He would however have an effect on 08 BDP. So Razor had nothing to do with Beckham and the rest of the guys from the 08 draft's exclusion from 08 BDP.

Can't guys opt out of the union? It would seem to apply only to guys that were a part of the union (even though MiLB isn't unionized). You can actually hear lawyer's pay increasing.

At most it's poorly written. He doesn't say that 08 draftees had an effect on 08 chrome. He's saying that the bad release was "ironic" because the razor exclusives followed it.

Maybe his using ironic when it wasn't ironic made his use of ironic in the end ironic.

There is nothing all that ironic about misusing ironic.

It is an incredibly misunderstood and misused word. I have a favored example when explaining irony.

You're driving behind an old lady with a bumper sticker on her car that says "Honk if you love Jesus". You end up stopped behind her at a red light so you happily honk. She rolls her window down and gives you the finger.

That is irony.

Ah. In my circle of friends we'd refer to it as "failing".
