Adrian Gonzalez.

I didn't think before that he would be moved...I've shifted completely to almost "knowing" he'll be traded.

Not really a huge name but Dan Uggla is a goner.

The Marlins are terrible this year and will contend for the gutter with Washington.

Atlanta is the worst offensive team in all of baseball. They really are. Schafer isn't a major leaguer and they could really use a power bat in that lineup. The Braves would have to give up some prize pitchinig (Medlen?) and maybe a young stud (freeman?) for him though.

The Riverlands.
Peavy isn't going anywhere. He almost went to the W.Sox and declined. I think Victor Martinez is way more likely to go somewhere.

Matt Holliday is gone for certain. Medlen, Kotchman and maybe more for Adrian Gonzalez would make a LOT of sense for both teams.

i would agree. id hate to see medlen go, but atlanta is going to have to do something huge to get back into the race and contend over the next few seasons

Hopefully Adam Dunn or Adrian Gonzalez end up in Atlanta. If it is Gonzalez, Kotchman will have to find a new position or be traded. I really dont see it being a problem for Wren to trade some pitching for a bat. The starters for the Braves:

JJ
KK
Lowe
Vasquez
Medlen
Hanson [when he gets the call]
Glavine
Hudson [when he gets back]
JoJo Reyes
Charlie Morton

i think if he trades morton or reyes they will be ok. i agree with kotchman needing a new place in that case. i wonder if there is any way the braves could pick up peavy, since they wanted him so bad in the off season. maybe they could move a couple pitchers along with kotchman and a young outfielder for peavy and gonzalez

If Adrian Gonzalez is traded, expect a huge deal to please the San Diego fans. He is the "native son", and huge with the Mexican community down there so trading him would have to be a landslide deal for the future.

For me, I see Boston making the deal, and I would see a guy like Lars Anderson involved, along with some other big names. Again, it will take a huge multi prospect deal to land Gonzalez, and I would highly doubt that it involved any players with MLB service time, and MLB money.

If he ends up in Boston, I would not be a happy camper.

More in reference to your first post: Why do you think he'll be traded now? I know before you were pretty sure he was staying in SD, and I tended to agree. And I also see Boston as the probable landing spot because of their prospect talent level. I was just curious as to why you changed your mind.

Also, if it is Boston, I could see Lars as a part of it, but then lower prospects. Definitely not any of the Bowden-Buchholz-Bard trio.
