I think it is unfair to have Ki-Jana on the list. It is one thing to have the injury bug like a Biakabutuka or Fragile Fred, but his knee exploded and was never the same.

Fred Russel was a beast in college he got one major hit in the nfl an career is over

I was referring to Fragile Fred Taylor in his earlier days.

Oh i thought you where talking about Russel

Seems there are alot of different definitions of "bust". A bust to me is a hyped player who never ended up accomplishing anything in the NFL, not someone who had some good seasons and then started falling off the radar. Reggie Bush is not a bust. Ryan Leaf is the definition of bust.

Leinart is not a bust, he has been in the league 3 years and as dumb as the Cards are they signed Warner to back up Leinart but Warner ended up winning the starting job and has kept it since. Just think about this. Look at what Cassel must have learned from Brady that turned him into a great player. Or what Rodgers learned from Favre. Now maybe Leinart will take skills he learned/learns from Warner and uses it when he finally becomes the starter

I dont really think Cassel is worth as much as people think he is he had a good season in NE because of wide outs in the area.

look at how bad he did last night. Cassel is way over hyped

an for the moment Linert is a bust imo because he hasnt done anything. Next year if he starts an goes .500 then i will take him off my bust list.

Looking at the original list all I can think is you've been watching football for about 3 years. I wouldn't really even call any of them busts. To me a bust is a top 4 or 5 player that everyone guaranteed would make it in the league and didn't...ala Tony Mandarich, Ryan Leaf or Akili Smith. No one guaranteed Pacman would be an exceptional player. No one thought squat about Clarett by the time Denver got him. The rest all have jobs in the NFL. I think Bush has more catches in his first 3 years than any RB in history. How the heck do you call that a bust? He isn't the everything player some people thought he would be, but I'd say the Saints have been smart enough to realize his limitations and use him as effective as they can in their offense.

Anyone who was a bottom first round pick or later is never a guarantee. Blue chip players only are busts. Everything else is a gamble from the get go. The ratio of players that become greats is a minute percentage compared to those who become journeymen players or fringe guys.

You can count the number of guys who lived up to their pre-draft hype pretty easily. And you can spend years counting those that never did.

I just listed some players that i felt have not showed up lately i didn't want to list older people because i didnt know what every one else would want to list so i just put a few people i thought have not played to there full potential. I like Reggie i just don't think he should of been a top 5 pick even a 1st round pick he just is more of a athlete then a NFL star imo. I do think that in a couple years all these players on my list except Pac man an Clarett could easily be taken off this list it was just to start a convo not to get every one all pissed off at me.

Todd Marinovich. Don't think he was mentioned yet. This guys dad trained him to be a QB since birth, was a USC golden boy, got drafted in the first round and then stunk up the NFL on the Raiders.

I pulled his Wild Card 100 stripe at a flea market and the dealer I bought the packs from said he would give me a hundred bucks for it. I was like no way this cards gonna be worth thousands ::facepalm::

You can't say Palmer has never produced.

Some others who come to mind Browning Nagle, Dan McGwire, David Klingler and since nobody else did I throw Rick Mirer out there
