Blackhawks to hold press conference this afternoon

the Chicago Blackhawks have scheduled a press conference this afternoon to announce that they have signed forwards Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews to 5 year contract extensions and Dman Duncan Keith to a 13 year contract extension. no financial details have been announces yet but I am very interested to see how they pulled this off with Hossa's contract.

It sounds to me like these deals won't come into play until after the season, so salary cap wise, they should be ok until the end of the season. Lots of player movement upcoming for the Hawks. This is fantastic news, and I am very happy that the young core of this team should remain intact in the years to come.

Yeah that's the truth, I think these moves are going to hurt them longterm.... They do have very poor money management.... Brian Campbell for what 7 mil a year?!? ::facepalm::
