Where did this hype come from, real or fake! Overnight? What did he do, score 101 points in a game, what happened? Let me guess, he's better than Kevin Durant now huh... First Durant is the next Jordan, and now all of a sudden they're jumping on the Blake Griffin wagon???

I would love to understand this, so if somebody can explain I would looove to know! :? What did he do that was sooo special?

So him being the #1 most searched for NBA player fake too? Also, I wouldn't take all those BIN/BO sales as the final price. I've bought items recently that show the asking BIN amount instead of the paid BO amount on the completed listings and item pages. The only place that shows the correct amount is on my Won/Purchased page.

In January he's averaging 27.2, 14.5, 4.6 as a rookie.
While it's not the Lakers, he still plays in LA.
He's scored 47 in a game this year, more than anyone else.
He has 3-5 highlights each game he plays.
He was featured in a sportscenter interview this weekend.

He's playing better than Durant right now. I would still probably take Durant on my team, but fans love the new hot players and forget about the guy that has been doing it for a few years.

I hope it's not the case of one guy owning 20 of these cards and trying to build fake hype, ya know. It's hard for me to believe most hype these days, not my fault that there are shaddy people out there.

Uh, the Jordan insert hype isn't fake. One member used 1 or 2 examples of his theory. Jordan insert hype has been real for nearly 15 years. This Griffin hype is real.

I doubt there is any price collusion here with all the blakes going nuts. Its hype!! People are jumping on the bandwagon and paying top dollars. Usually happens with atleast one player every year. Blake is the player this year!! Durant was last year.... cp3, DH12, lebron, wade etc years prior.

Those of you that were sitting on his cards, cash in and make the profits. Probably pick them up cheaper this summer in the off season.

ITs always good times when you can flip and make a buck, then pick it up cheap later on.

This is my biggest question currently. Do I sell the one I have in my Crown Royale set and buy back later or not? Knowing my luck if I do it will only go up or the available copies will be so dried up that the price will remain. If I keep it then the price will be a quarter of what it is now.

Sell it. its only 1 copy. The crown auto is out of /399? Itll show up for sale in the summer. If it was a /5 from your collection, then odds are it wouldnt show up again. There are 10 up on ebay right now. Put up a Best off $450 and take $350 for the card. Good chance youll pick up that card over the summer for much much less. If not, wait for another guy to go hot and youll see the hype move from Blake to that player!!

It's unfortunate because this is probably the best shape the NBA has been in for a long time.

Sell your copy of the Crown Royale Griffin. Almost guaranteed it will be cheaper come this summer. Take the profits and spend them on some other cards for the set or some other player you enjoy.

And Griffin deserves the hype he's getting. The kid is lights out so far this year for a crappy Clippers team. He's basically rejuvenated interest in that team by himself. It helps to have guys like Eric Gordon, but hey. Don't forget he also had like 23 or 24 double doubles in a row this season and the streak just ended not too long ago. That's pretty damn impressive in itself for any player, let alone a rookie.
