I was bummed when I wasn't able to originally get cases at $750 12 months ago for Sig Series

Still have 4 boxes of BDP (year with Zimmerman on box) sitting in basement unopened
Tempting to bust
Keeping it for the godson's Confirmation in a few years
Sucks if any redemptions but oh well

Also have some 90UD for him but that isn't as neat

That would be 2005 BDP, NICE!

are the 90s UD Boxes the high numbers? If so, a slim shot at the Reggie Auto

Should be fun. Can't believe they've dropped that low. I had 20 cases when they released. Cracked 8 and sold the other 12 back to Blowout for a profit in spring '08 before we moved.

The autos may not be the greatest but there's a lot of good base cards in the set. The redemptions say they expire on 12/31/09. Does anyone know if they extended the deadline? Still have a couple I need to submit.

I sent in a few about 8 weeks ago and got them back yesterday. Not sure if they have extended the deadline or not. Plus, those are the send-in redemptions.

I nabbed a case of the elite blisters too. Supposedly hobby but there is some question on the pack-out by Donruss as to whether or not these blister packs actually contain ANY game used or manufactured patch/autograph cards in them.

The blister packs actually slow down the break and make the enjoyment last. Makes quite a mess though

I'll post my results after I receive and bust my case.

You WILL get Game used and patches in these. Jeff N. bought a case from blowout and hit the Gu and Patches. You can do a search on the box break boards and see his overall break.

The ones that I had bought must have been searched in one form or another. But, I will also say this. I bought another lot of blisters recently from the same seller as before, and there was 10 autos in 50 packs. Personally, I would MUCH rather be hitting base autos, and parallel autos then the manufactured auto jerseys. But that is my preference.

You've been thanked! I too have had the same thought that if the crummy game used were out of the equation as in loose blisters that have been searched, then I would stand better odds on the regular autographs. I'm not a big fan of the manufactured patches either and will most likely flip them to offset my costs a little.

My follow up question is... How do the patches affect the autograph odds? Autographs are supposed to be 1:5. Is that 1:5 for regular autographs or is that 1:5 for any form of autograph? As in.. the manufactured patches are not an extra hit.

There are 0 odds on the blister boxes. they are hobby packs but there are no odds on them.


You could get lucky and hit 10 autos in a box of 15 or hit 0 in a box.

I opened 2 boxes earlier this year and hit 2 autos in 1 box and 3 in another box.

nothing wrong with that! Brian Gray was right about the signature release in saying he hoped a collector would find value - at today's $35 price, you can now get value for the box!

I opened one signature box recently and I"m sure I could flip it and make money if I wanted to, rather than keep the cards for the PC. I have one box stashed and two more boxes on the way from this weekend's BO sale.

The only thing stupid is blowout's price this weekend only saves $.04 per box.
