Better be a good prospect..

Agreed. I figured he'd get traded...but really? Brandon League?? The prospect better be a very good one, if not, I'd chalk it up to Jack Z's first terrible move...

No way he can be -- could he?

Really doubt it, but perhaps David Cooper?

Apparently either Arencibia or Cooper. Neither
would bother me in the slightest; would be a steal for AA

I actually wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being Arencibia, considering they just got D'Arnaud. No real need for both guys in Toronto and the M's need catching.

I will be disappointed if its anyone other than Arencibia or Stewart (which I HIGHLY doubt).

Eh, I've kinda soured on Morrow. I think he's probably destined to be an iffy, tease of a starter, or a pretty good reliever...which is what League is. So League + a solid prospect is fine. Besides, I'll give Z the benefit of the doubt until he shows me something to really complain about. I will say I hope the prospect isn't Arincibia, not much of a fan.

Yeah somedays he would be dominate.... more days though he was inconsistant and very hittable.

And I am in that same group that is a big fan of Morrow! very pleased we acquired him :D. Seen both pitch and Morrow's stuff is better, League should do well.... but I see a better career in Morrow.

We shall see.

Man, people underestimate Canadians. We love spending oodles of money. If you've sold a Snider card in the last year and offered shipping to Canada, it's almost a certainty that you made above market value.

League's definitely one of those pitchers that's just a weeee bit away. I'm sure 1/4 of the pitching coaches could spot and fix what's wrong, and maybe Mel (do they still have Mel? Man, I ******* love Mel) can fix league. I don't even think it's about consistency with League, I think it's 100% Mental Make-Up.

I hate Cooper with a passion, so.. I hope it's him.

As for Morrow, he's going to have a rough year in Toronto. I definitely see him starting the season with a sub-4.00 ERA for a month or two, and then just imploding and Toronto hanging him out to dry.

Honestly, I can't believe Seattle gave up on him so quickly. I think the possibility of Morrow becoming great (10%) is well worth what we gave up for him. Even if the other 90% of the time he's not even a major leaguer, I still like the trade. I think Morrow's got 2 or 3 years left on the cheap, right? confirm - deny?

League's got a shot at being real good, but it's clear that wasn't going to happen in Toronto. Toronto's wanted to send him down countless times, but they've just been handcuffed.

Solid B.

I threw up a bit in my mouth when I heard of this trade. As a huge Morrow fan, I'm disappointed at how the M's handled him.

Not trying to thread hi-jack here- but Hello!- Doug Melvin are you there?> another pitcher you could have had for a bullpen arm and a prospect(Millwood- for Ray coming off surgery, and a rule 5 prospect)

Gallardo and Wolf are not better than Carpenter and Wainright... you have an extra catcher available(Lucroy, or Salome) and got Cameron Garfield in last years draft-
Get some Balls!

Edit- I think either way, starter or reliever, you take a chance on Morrow, I am a fan.
