I can't believe this guy once had a 35 HR season. He had an .899 OPS in 2006 then fell off the face of the earth career-wise ever since.
Yep, easily one of the flukiest seasons ever!

Have fun with him, Yanks....he's a future MVP no doubt ;)

Don't worry about Bill. He just needs to hook up with Alex and it will be 2006 all over again.

I'm curious, what made you say Brady Anderson? Why not anyone else?

Probably because Brady's 50 HR season is one of the flukiest seasons ever when put into the context of a player's career.

Can't argue that. By why name anyone at all? The number of PED users is astronomical. Just seems odd that he would use Brady Anderson as the prime example.

Brady Anderson is the first person I think of when it comes to a "Fluke" season.

I think he was naming someone because of the same instance they shared - one fluky, amazing season and, well, bumpkus (though Brady's bumpkus was a lot better than Hall's).

I can't think of any one year wonders where it was overly obvious that PED's were involved in some way.

As others wrote, he's the first player who popped into my mind when I thought of flukey home run seasons.
Would you even care if he wasn't an Oriole?
Or if he wasn't dreamy like Luke Perry? ;)

I'll admit I thought you mentioned him as a cheap shot b/c I was an O's fan. But, in all honesty, I'm not a Brady Anderson fan and never was. I hated that he struck out with Cal on deck in Cal's final game

"Real" rumor of the day is J-Hey to the Yanks for Hughes/Betances. Like the Braves need more arms.

For Hughes, sure, go ahead. Project for project. But not both.

And if they signed Hall it would be to a minor league deal, so whatever.
