So who does Ellsbury end up with after next year. Already Boras has said he is not signing early and will go to the market. Boras is already hyping him as franchise player. So does some team give him Crawford money. Let's see a guy going on 30 that relies on speed. Gets hurt a lot. Some dumb team will pony up and give him 7 years 150 and regret it.

Theo gave Crawford the money. I could see him giving Ellsbury that kind of money.

Will depend on what he does next season. If he comes close to what he did last year, he will likely get 20 million at 7 years. And I think whoever pays it will be making a huge mistake. If he has a season closer to his 10 HR and 70 steal season, I think his price tag goes down considerably. But there is no planning for stupidity, so it wouldn't shock me to see him get 20 million per year regardless of what he does next year.
