It's in Des Plaines and should be right near the Casino so your about 2 miles just north of the convection center. As for me I will not be there as well. we will be just getting back from our annual shut down at work the 2 weeks before. I will not have vacation time left to use by the time it comes around.

Can anyone advise me on the easiest way to get into the city? I think the Cubs are in town that weekend. It looks like public transit takes about 40 minutes to get from Rosemont to Chicago. I'm a west-coast guy and I've never been to Chicago/The Mid-West, so this is all new to me! I'm looking forward to it! Last year was killer.

From the convention center you can walk 5 minutes to a train which gets you to Addison and then take a bus down Addison which drops you literally in front of Wrigley. Would be your cheapest option by far, though could potentially take a bit longer depending on traffic on Addison.

Talked the wife into going. Im going to get Cal Ripken Jr's autograph (a little pricey but what the hey). Im going just for the heck of it. I have a lot of time to take off from work (plant wont shut down for 2 weeks this year, so I can take it whenever).
