I'm interested to see how far the Harper base cards drop considering the presses are cranked and these are in no short supply.

I think this has to be the peak for now. Maybe it will go up when Harper gets called up in a year or two. I just think there are going to be a lot of disappointed people after they spend $200+ on a Jumbo and have $20 worth of cards. 2010 there was so much more than just Strasburg in a break. Great fun product but I am not touching it at these prices. The overall checklist just doesn't justify it. Way to much of a gamble for me. I'll stick with singles. Based on supply and people not ripping at any price level these will drop in a week or two once the hype dies down.

Looks like the short term peak was two days ago. Harpers are flooding Ebay and dropping, as are sealed boxes. Many people still sitting on sealed product or waiting for their initial purchase. The reward vs risk continues to change and devalue the product for now. That will change as the supply drops, I just do not see that happening as quick as some others and certainly not before other product hits the market with Harper in it. Had the overall content been stronger, it may be a different story.

This set has a lot more value than just Harper. His hype is driving box and single prices up but their are lots of good prospects in this set. Lots of sleepers if you have done your homework.

The big difference is that they hit $100 a box once they are not sleepers anymore a few years down the road. 2010 Bowman you had many more known prospects with more potential and a deeper checklist, even with sleepers, and had multiple big names in Strasburg, Heyward, Ackley, Tate, Chapman and that same guy name Bryce Harper in his "First Bowman Chrome Card". Not to mention other USA cards of up coming '10 1st yr player draft prospects. Big miss I think not having chrome USA cards this year. I'll wait for the price to drop and buy then. (I hope)

After reading that chrome base autos are selling for $7 on average, I don't see how it goes up.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 hobby cases that I picked for a reasonable price. If I had paid what they're going for now, I wouldn't have been as happy.

I think the person is misleading the buyer though by spamming it with Harper. Don't know though... the seller may not be aware that this is not good for a Harper auto.

It's only week 2. I did some research and 2010 Bowman didn't really take off until after Strasburg's Super was pulled and sold for $16k. That happened on May 29th. Strasburgs first pitch was June 8th. We all know Harper will not get called up this year, but if his Super ever surfaces and when Harper does get called up, these cases will see another spike. The only reason it's dying now is due to the market being flooded and everyone trying to capitalize all at once. I bet we'll even see a spike when he moves up to Potomac and then to Harrisburg. The Nats have already stated they are going to run him through the entire system before calling him up, so don't be surprised to see him in Syracuse by the end of the season. Each time causing a stir in pricing.
Harper's Red 1/1 is already out there. Just waiting for the Super, the Atomic Bowmans Best, and the x/5 Autos to hit ebay, and we'll start to seeing prices rise quickly.

LCS's here can't get any 2011 Bowman...this after getting their orders slashed. Don't know who's to blame...Topps or greedy distributors who resell for profit.
