Bowman Chrome 2010 case for $420 Question about seller

Not to bag on anyone here, but I dont understand why people buy presells on cases.

I can see maybe a box from eBay or the LCS that only costs $70, and the risk is not that high. But spending hundreds is beyond me.

It's such an easy target for scammers.


There are good presell dealers around, but ratio of good dealer/bad dealer is way off

I get stuff shipped to where I work and we closed at 4 today and the tracking info said attempted delivery 4:35! I won't get it 'till Monday now! Mamabear got a positive feedback today from another $419 case buyer.

Did you get your case?

Has anyone got there case yet that paid $419?

I got a tracking # from them last week, which had it coming today.

Unfortunately, the UPS delivers stuff here at all times of the day-and no one was home to sign for it. So,they should be back tomorrow. But I did have a notice saying it was attempted to be delivered.

So, it sounds like everything should be fine.

This wasn't really a presale. It was a wait 5-7 days for your item to ship kind of thing.

Maybe I haven't heard of it happening, but how is a seller going to scam a buyer who pays through PayPal? PayPal definitely protects the buyer like crazy, so I don't understand how a seller would get away with it.

And the reason people bought cases from this seller is simple-the deals were unbelievable. A case of 2010 Bowman Chrome at $420, free shipping-after eBay bucks and bigcrumbs, that is $400 per case. That is an incredible deal. And as another mentioned, the deal on Topps Update jumbo cases was insane as well.

The way I saw it, the worst I am out is my time. If they don't go through with the deal, I file a claim and get my money back.

I've emailed them several times about their cases and the LOW prices and they have always been up-front with me. I ordered a Topps Chrome case for $400 and got it with no problems. I also pre-ordered a Bowman Draft case for $550 too, and am not too worried about getting it. Here's one of the responses when I questioned if he was a collector/dealer/distributor and the low prices:

"Collector/dealer for many years. My local source got caught
in the "Strassburg" frenzy and took refundable deposits on a ton of cases
from customers only to have them cancel when he got hurt so he just wants
to get close to even. Some of the customers also canceled football cases
from fear that the same thing could happen, but far less than the baseball.
I am getting a small commisiion, but more importantly, I will be able to
pay him straight wholesale for what I want from now on."

Sorry I haven't posted back in this thread, YES I received my case Monday. Totally legit and I got an Orange Chapman auto from it, it was well worth the wait, my case was one of those 'colorful' cases( orange Swihart-non auto, gold Marcus Littlewood auto, orange Kepler-non auto, gold Reckling auto, and blue Davidson auto!)
