I assume this is going to follow 2010's case prices. Came out in the upper 600's and fell in December and then bounced back up.

Blowout and Global both in the $590's today. They didn't make too many cases, can't see these prices sticking around. Anyone buying?

I'm so tempted. Broke one at $720 and it was fairly mediocre. May try to list a bunch of stuff this weekend. A second case would give me 5 ct chrome lots and 10 ct base lots as well

Nice auto checklist, but player lots are selling for squat. Really tough product to recoup without getting really lucky at this point.

I think some people who have not ripped many cases may be underestimating how significant a factor this is since when opening just a box or two the goal is really to pull a chase card, and lots are not really a consideration. BCA, you have an estimate of the average net in players lots you might have gotten a couple of years ago compared to now?

Buy some and put them away for a few years!
Have the last few years of Chrome paid off doing this? Honestly I am not sure if it's really a good idea. With the non-auto'd cards close to worthless with rare exceptions, I don't see these carrying the long term value that some of the older sets had. JMO though, and I do not follow the wax markets all that closely.

intrigued...

although you would think that you need to hit at least a decent gold auto on this...aside from the three b's (bauer, bundy, bubba), pretty decent named prospects like baez and lindor's don't seem to get the gold auto love..imo anyways

still intrigued, though.... :P

I picked up a case and a box, the first to hold the second to open. It's a risk to hold inventory on the hopes of scarcity and demand driving up the price later but as has been repeated ad naseum this was considered to be a strong draft class even without Cole, Rendon and Hultzen inside and from all reports production wasn't ridiculously high.

The redemptions will expire, and Topps will probably no longer authenticate Aflacs(by sending to PSA) by the time this product gets expensive. Remember, Topps doesn't fulfill expired redemptions EVER.

I have busted 4 cases and have 6 more coming after today's drop in price... The biggest thing I noticed compared to last year is there is very little to no value in the "Green" cards. There are only a few guys that provide value and 75% of the guys are scrubs. Last year's green rookies had 15-20 guys that sold well, and a lot more guys who are everyday players that provided value. That goes a long way in the total value of the boxes/cases.

As someone already said, even if you buy enough to do player lots you will need some luck to really make some money on busting.

The RC checklist is horrific. There were so many players Topps could have used that made their ML debut last season and instead it's full of guys most people have never heard of. There's no value in the RC's unless you hit a huge parallel. The base CL isn't terrible, but it's just not providing a ton of value other than big parallels.
