I am up for almost anything in future breaks, but I think we should try to make them more even. Just so you know, I am the last one to complain about anything, but we should try to cover our bases.

If we do a case break of a certain product someone should do some research on teams and see what teams have the least or no autographs at all. Andrew should not do this as he is already doing enough. I wouldn't mind taking this project on, it would just have to be in the evenings as I work long days.

Anyway, what should we do?

07 Elite was fun, but let's cut out the base cards. Andrew can give them to the local hospital.

07 or 08 Draft would be fun. I say 1 case of 07 and 1 case of 08 and keep the same teams that was initially drawn for your slot. That way if you have somewhat crappy pulls from 07, you may have a better chance in 08.

How about 2008 Bowman w/chrome. Tons of nice autographs in there.

What else can we do guys? It has to be fair with the given amount of teams and packs in a box.

Yeah, that would be fun. A mix of 07 and 08 cases or maybe do something like 3 or 4 boxes of each bowman/chrome product to equal out to two cases worth.

elites? only if we all agree that we only get the hits and give the bases away or something for andrew's sake.

I really don't think older rookie products are the way to go.

Reasonable minds may disagree about this, but from my point of view the objective of a group break should be to spread the risk evenly. When you go back to products from 2004, value is highly concentrated in a few places. Prospects have either failed or succeeded; there is almost no potential left. All this means is that there are 10-15 high value players, and the rest are essentially worthless. A group break of a product like that looks a lot more like a lottery than splitting up a case among members.

Of course a lot of you may prefer the lottery-style group break where one or two people hit it big and everyone else gets almost nothing. From the comments I've seen though, a lot of you would prefer breaks that spread the wealth around a little more. There's probably no product or combination of products that can guarantee value for every team in the draw, but at least with rookie products, I really think newer is the way to go. And as some have suggested, going across years (i.e. 2007 and 2008 Sterling) and having everyone keep the same team is a great way to even things out.

guess i just thought some people would rather do this as it seems more people do this for the entertainment and to watch than for the actual product. But obviously that doesn't sound good so forget i mentioned it

I still stick with the idea of Multi-case of 05 (maybe too expensive), 06 07 and 08 Bowman draft. That way if you get the a crappy team that has a poor set in 08, could have a chance for a good hit with a better set in say 05.

Just a thought.
