I noticed a red refractor was on eBay the other day, but the guy turned down 2 of his offers. Not sure if he got offline or not.

I went to Missouri State (Southwest Missouri State U.) while he was a pitcher there...I forgot he had cards out until I busted a box of Draft tonight.

I went to Odessa, Mo High School. Only about 20 years before Ziegler did. It's cool seeing someone from my small HS to make the Majors.

I think buying Ziegler to flip it to him at a higher rate is pretty sad. I know its not why you're looking for his cards, but none the less, thats how I feel.

I'm not doing that and I highly doubt that those who have Ziegler cards purchased them out from under Ziegler on eBay and are going to try to flip them to him.

Besides, if he is setting the market, then he is setting the market...

The one member who PM'd me with a card had a refractor...I'm paying $7 for a non-RC refractor (he has 2006 Heritage) and I'm 100% fine with it to have the card. But since Ziegler is buying his own cards, his prices are higher than they should be.

It is annoying as all hell too! I keep losing the Topps Red Hot Rookie card because of him!

What is the difference? Prospectors try to buy low to sell in a higher market...if they bought Ziegler low and the market (Ziegler himself) is higher...then it is fair game. My guess is that Ziegler is ok with the free market enterprise that allows him to pick up even more of his cards.

Hopefully someday Ziegler will be at a charity dinner here in Springfield and I can give him some Bowman and Bowman chrome singles when he signs my refractor! The wheels are turning.
