BREAKING NEWS:: Bryce Harper carted off field!!

We don’t have any details yet, but The Nats Blog just tweeted that Bryce Harper hurt his ankle running down to first base and was “carted off the field.” They have a pic of him on the ground. It’s from a distance, though, so it’s hard to say if the situation is bad or not. That said, I can’t recall the last time someone being “carted off” anyplace was a good thing.

We’ll update when more info comes our way.

At this point it's not even certain that they'll save the leg. I read that if it needs to be removed, they'll replace it with an arm. Typical recovery time: 6-8 weeks.

I just got my phone takin away during class for laughing at it. I showed my teacher who loves baseball what you posted and he was laughing and gave my phone back. That would have been a 4 hour Saturday morning detention. Post thanked.

Apparently he injured it on the swing. When he was stepping into the pitch, he had a hitch in his swing that twisted his ankle. This could have all been avoided if he would have just got rid of the hitch.
