I love that these guys are getting caught, although it is just a bit too late. I would never trust those auction houses anyhow, always knew they shill bid. GREED GREED GREED.

But who even wants to help the Feds and expose a greater network of corruption will get nothing other then a slap on the wrist. And I can see someone singing to save their ass no doubt about it.

Are we not missing the PSA implication as well? Maestro sold the card by altering it but PSA authenticated the grade. There were so many assumptions that were made about the condition, grade and how it was sold are now more than just hearsay.

The Wagner being trimmed is old news. Everybody that collects vintage extensively was already aware that the card had been trimmed. It has been written about many times.

Nice to see them finally make the case. Now it'll get interesting to see how it all shakes out (plus I have to wonder if I'll be getting any $ back if restitution for shill bidding is made).

Where do you feel this money will be coming from? If it is proven that these three are guilty there will be heavy fines and jail time to pay before anyone else could possibly even consider restitution. Even if restitution is ordered and that is a very HUGE IF, you will not see a dime for decades.

It has been common knowledge that Bill Mastro was the one who doctored/had the card doctored for many years now.

I am glad they also indicted that scumbag Doug Allen as well.

I agree with this post. Both MAstro and Allen have had dirty hands for a long long time in my opinion. It seems they indicted the IT guy from Mastro. I bet he has a good deal to say on this subject and will be doing so to save his own bacon.

It took of 2 years for them to finally get indicted. I work with a guy who is related to Mastro and he said this was going to happen, it was only a matter of time. But sadly he also said the damage has been done, and the money has been spent. Plus his uncle has been dumping stuff fast and furiously, to not have much left for the Feds to get it for those scammed.

Rumor has it that Lifson is singing to protect his ass from his time at MastroNet.I cannot confirm the validity of that though.I hope there is no truth to the rumor as I always found Lifson to be a straight shooter and above all the criminal bullXXXX the other guys were into.Who really knows though.Everyone thought Barry Halper was a saint also until he passed.

All in all time will tell.Any time fraud in our hobby is prosecuted it is a good thing.

So, from here, does the value of the Wagner go up or down?
