What is his deal? Not running out of the box on the flyball to RF. Weak ground balls to 3B with RISP with the game on the line twice? Terrible signing.

Listened to the 3 game series on the radio at work this week and really dissapointed with his performance or lack there of. What is the deal? No power in ST, no power now, is this a botched attempt at a stop gap for Freeman?

How many games are you willing to watch where he hits weak ground balls to 3b with RISP? Hell just start Diaz at first over Glaus. Seems like he can only hit with the bases empty and no pressure on him right now. Not really judging the guy, I just don't want him playing for the Braves. Guess I'm just wanting for the past with power hitting 1B, Crime Dog, Big Cat, Tex, ect...

As a Cardinal fan I can tell you..get used to it. I like the guy but he will leave you haning with RISP 9 times out of 10..he has the biggest looping, giant hole swing ever..well maybe not ever but I cant even begin to count the RBI situations that he tanked in!!
Freddie will be there soon enough for you guys..

Wait until June or July at least.

He's a slow starter, to say the least. In 2008, when he hit like 27 homers or something, he had 3 homers on June 1st. He had 8 in June and then 7 in July.

He says he warms up when the weather does. He finished that year with 27 homers, 99 RBI, and a .270 BA. Along with a decent .372 OBP.

They should just bring in Freddie and give him shot. In the minors Freeman and Heyward were the best combo together. They were salt & pepper, ketchup & fries, Ying & Yang, Mario and Luigi...lol.

Really though it is still very early in the year, the Braves are going to take things slowly until they see that they have a serious issue at first base.

who are you addressing in this? If it is me, then no I didnt buy anything Schafer, and I sold the only refractor Auto of his I pulled.

First, I think its too soon to give up on Glaus. He has to the end of the month before I start calling for his head. But to play along with the scenario, wouldn't it be better to play Matt Diaz at 1B, he's played a small bit there for the Braves and you keep the premium defense in RF w/ Jason.
