And he's coming to the Celtics. A scorer off the bench in Marbury and a big man in Mikki Moore. I'm happy.

Yes it looks like he is commimg to Boston. Even though I didnt like how he acted in NY I still think he has something to prove and I hope he brings that metality to boston. He is going to have to learn and play defense, that for sure!

If he goes to Boston, I hope someone crushes Boston in the playoffs. I know there your team MLB but, I hate to see jerks rewarded. I've never liked him.

I think we're going to see a Randy Moss type make over. Obviously he isn't going to be as great as Moss was his first season because Marbury is not as great a player, but I think he'll be a big addition to the team. I also feel like these two moves put the celtics back in contention for the title.

Hey Hey now :) ! I know what you mean and being that he probably is comming to Boston I have to some how over look what he has done in NY and the Timberwolves when he had a chance to stay with KG and acually be real contenders. That was when I lost alot of respect for him. What I can say is he does have some talent and I just hope he puts it to use. Trust me I dont think Boston will have a problem Booting him off the team if he starts to get an attitude and acts up. I just hope he realizes that he really hurt his career with the Knicks fiasco and that Mentally he is ready to shut up and play ball (Fingers Crossed).

I disagree. Marbury and Moore are HUGE pickups. The Celtics got better, and I don't even consider it a debatable. Moore will take minutes away from Glen "Tiny Baby" Davis and Leon Powe. That alone improves the team. Marbury can be used as a 2 guard instead of a point guard, which gives their second unit another scoring option on the nights that House doesn't have his shooting stroke. I really think Marbury has something left in the tank, and it may take a week or two to shake off the rust and get familiar with the system, but I think he definitely makes the Celtics better.

As a knicks fan, nothing would make me happier than for Marbury to mess that team up!

Mikki is a great player. I think he will certainly help the squad. Even more so with KG gone for a while. I just dont think Marbury will help the team. IM not sure he has EVER helped a team.

If you think Marbury will make the Celtics better, you are DELUSIONAL! Marbury is a loser, has always been, always will be. He has never made any team better. He cares nothing about winning, he only cares about himself and his $. What's the over/under on the number of days it takes for Garnett to go after him in a practice?

Marubry is not a #1 type player on any team and never has been. That's what got him in trouble in his career. When he was with the wolves he was great as a #2 to Garnett. Now he is at best the 6th man for this team. He has always been able to score, and that is just what the Celtics need him for. Also, this wasn't a trade so the Celtics gave up an empty roster spot to add him. I think he helps the team more than an empty seat.

People were saying the same things about Randy Moss and his attitude before coming to the Patriots. Never underestimate how guys can turn it around when the are around a core of veteran leaders and when they have to prove they can fit into a team and still play to earn a contract the next year.

I severely underestimate it when it comes to Marbury. Despite how bad you may or may not have thought Moss was, Marbury is much worse. Also, Moss is a rare exception to a turn around. Most players fall back into their own ways.

So Marbury either was to follow KG's lead and work hard and fit in for a couple months OR do what he wants and have 0 teams interested in him after the season? I think he can keep his head on straight for a couple months, or at least play the part of having his head on straight. It's a great pick up either way because he either helps the celtics (I think this is the case) or the celtics cut him and he has no impact on the team. I'm not saying this puts them over the top, but I can't see how the Celtics didn't get better. Maybe it's because I watch all their games and see just how awful their bench is some games.

I would never underestimate the power of a negetive person in a clubhouse either. Thats why players like Same Cassell get signed anymore. They rarely play but can provide such a presense in the locker room. The same, negetive effect can be seen from certain players as well. You are absolutely correct, the Celtics gave up nothing to try and for that its worth it. I personally dont see it helping them though.

Im fairly certain Marbury care only about himself and does not really care if he cant find a team in the future. It hasnt stopped countless of other professionals.

Remember, no team in the future means no more paychecks. Even if he is as bad a person as you are saying, you would think that's all the more reason for him to pretend to fly straight for 3-4 months to trick some team into signing him. After that he can go back to being him.

I think Marbury will be in check in Boston as along with KG you have Pierce and Allen who will also sit his butt down if he gets out of hand and he has never had that many stars who could tell him to where to go. My main concern is weather he will shake off the rust quick enough as he has not played in a game in a year. I have to agree with Tomlinson21RB that he can only make us better and will not make us worse what so ever because again Doc River, KG, Paul Pierce and Ray allen will have no problem kicking him off the team and playing with out him if he start his Cra*. Trust me they will do this before he even gets to a point were he can make the team worse. I also Like the Mikki Moore pick-up!

Names like Latrell Sprewell and Shawn Kemp instantly pop into my mind.
