Remember, no team in the future means no more paychecks. Even if he is as bad a person as you are saying, you would think that's all the more reason for him to pretend to fly straight for 3-4 months to trick some team into signing him. After that he can go back to being him.

Names like Latrell Sprewell and Shawn Kemp instantly pop into my mind.

Wasn't Spree a pretty good player in NY for a few years after the choking incident?

He came back, did a few things. Same as Kemp. They never really fell out of their ways though. Remeber Spree's whole "I need to feed my family" quote when he turned down a $7 mil/year contract.

Edit: with link. Seriously made me LOL here at work reading it.

I'm not saying Marbury will turn out to be a model citizen and add another 5 solid years to his career. I'm saying he can stay under the radar and be productive for a playoff run.

Starbury does nothing spectacular. He is simply another disgruntled, overpaid, guard.

Randy Moss is a freak of nature. His attitude was tolerable considering the disastrous environment that was the Raiders. TO was also a decent player who could add a lot of value to a team despite his terrible attitude. Starbury is nothing special. Six foot guards who shoot 30 shots per game that barely make it to the first round are more trouble then they are worth (look at AI).

I know it's only 14 minutes, but I love what I saw from him. I stand by my statement: he makes the celtics better.

An interesting twist from tonight's game that I didn't think of before was how the defense has to change when going from guarding Rondo to guarding Marbury. A lot of defensive game plans against the Celtics have them focusing on the other guys on the court and leaving Rondo open for jumpers. Now with Marbury the defense has to have to game plans ready because Marbury can stick the open shot.
