Re: Breaks - ?

Bid is at like 1257 right now, that is 32 a box. I still would be in at 50 per box.

Pretty easy to search and reseal 1993.

Thats what I was worried about.
40 boxes with no cases.
No other baseball for sale???
Crazy....[/quote:1e2te50u]

Here is a reply from the seller as I asked about sealing, cases, etc.

The boxes are not opened, not searched and not re-sealed. I know this because I opened the cases myself. I purchased the cases back in the year of issue. The cases were factory sealed and were purchased direct from Topps or reputable vendors. At that time, I was actually wanting one sealed box for each individual card in the set. I thought that to be more interesting then a Refractor Set. Shortly afterwards my interests changed, and I never completed the set. In any event, I can get you close ups of all the seals on the shrink wraps if requested. So I can guarantee their authenticity and originality. For shipping, I am going to wrap each box in a sealed plastic bag, and video the process. So long as the bag's seal is intact, the boxes may be returned if there is independent proof that the boxes are not original and unopened.

Re: Breaks - ?

If you are going to do it, and have checked it out sufficiently, and are satisfied that they have not been searched, I would be interested. But my advice is to

Its a go then!!!

I would think everyone who is interested should let Andrew know and only one person bid. Otherwise we would all be bidding against each other. I think there would be alot of interest in a crazy break like this. I think by the box with 40 slots would be good.

I did alot of thinking... ::facepalm::

I opened cases upon cases of this stuff and never saw a 3-box case. The shrink wrap does not say anything on them, in fact there is just one, all be it not perfect, way to know if this is the original wrapping. Maybe ask the seller to take a few pic of the entire box top, you will be looking for a small circle in the top left side of the box. The circle is a place if no clear wrapper, kinda like a hole.

The fact that the refractor pack is visibly different than the non-refractor pack makes me nervous. $8K, or $200, per box should be max for those who want to gamble.
