I really don't understand how they'd really go up that much in value if he doesn't sign. It isn't like they are SP'd. If nothing else, I'd think his Razors would go up once it becomes a fact he isn't signing, or maybe whatever else becomes his first cert auto. But still, the redemptions don't expire until 2014. For him 'not to sign', that would mean he'd sign no Topps products until then. Presumably if he did sign at some point between now and then, Topps would have him fill the old redemptions (cynical topps remarks aside). Then the Razors, as his only cert, would become nuts. This all assuming he has a good career (which he will. I watched him play and he has the moxie of a young Rose).

If they are experiencing a little spike now, I'd sell. Or maybe wait from spring training? I dunno. I'm selling a base non-auto now. I'll let you know how it goes.

They are SPd.
Actually someone else posted they are super short printed.
And Canadian fans are loving the kid.
If he can come out and bat close to .300 with 20 HRs, 80 rbi, and 25-30 SBs, I think they are going to be very desirable to Canadian baseball fans.

I think he was referring to the base non-autos. I do know that even the base are not easy to pull. Looks like his base chrome is about 2-3 per case which is low. Who knows I may just wait. Just worried that if he does sign the base and refractors could drop like most do.

I just pulled a redemption for the gold refractor. What would be a good amount to ask? Or should I just throw up on ebay in an auction style listing and see where it lands?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Throw it up on EBAY with a $400 BIN and take Best Offers..

I got $750 for my Orange..

Good luck..

Yep, that's what i was referring to. I'm not sure that the non-autos will ever attain super high levels beyond a seasonal or hot-streak based bump, simply because they are not as difficult to come by.

I'll be interested to see how Topps handles the numbering. If the Blues/Golds/Oranges are SSP'd, presumably there are less of them than their stated print runs. I'm wondering if the Blue I'm redeeming will still be imprinted as /150 or of some lesser number. I imagine the Superfractor can't be SP'd, as it has a rather binary existence (it either has the same run as all supers or does not exist).

There might even be more of some 'less numbered' refs than others. I've seen about an equal distribution of Golds, Blues and Base from as best as I can tell. I'll be quite interested to know if the true amount of these made ever leaks out.

I'm still convinced a contractual snag with BL's old contract with Razor might be holding Topps up. The two companies have been rather litigious with one another recently, and I'm guessing they might be erring on the side of caution to not occasion a suit from whoever owns Razor now. Purely speculative, but I see no other explanation that doesn't simply rely on BL's laziness.

The '08 Razor exclusive contracts are over. There's nothing holding up Topps, other than BL's laziness (or Topps' ineptitude)

Topps' Twitter rep just sent a reply to my inquiry - "I expect Lawrie will sign shortly".

He may, but it'll take them 2 years to send everything out.

STILL waiting on Machado autos from Bowman & Bowman Platinum and he's long been signed. ::facepalm::

Maybe not. The Hosmer's went live at a decent time. Although he probably signed before the product came out.
