Has anyone here seen Brian Johnson pitch this year? He's averaging 13.2 K/9 IN, but giving up almost as many hits per 9 IN, which makes me wonder how he can be missing so many bats and yet not missing so many bats at the same time?

If anyone has some insight on him this year, please post. I'd like to know what he's throwing, how hard he's throwing, and how to account for his good (K/9) and bad (H/9) stats.

Overall, I was impressed when I saw him pitch against the Winston-Salem Dash. Location on the fastball was the main problem, plus the Dash tend to sit on the fastball. His breaking stuff was good and was getting most of the outs. I think he will be fine.

Did you see Johnson's line from last night?
DANNY

I was checking on his bio page earlier in the night, but then got tied up. Nice to wake up and see this line:

6 IN 0 H 0 R 0 BB 5 K

Thanks for the head's up.
