Was watching Countdown show to 100, and it was focused on Brock and Mir.

Brock:

"I dont give a rats ass it's UFC 100"

"I dont respect anyone who I've foughtten"

"I didnt give Randy any respect because I dont respect him"

...it doesnt change my opinion that I like him, but, It definitely shows people he is, as he says, in it for the money

I don`t put too much stock into anything Brock or Mir says at this poing. It is all about hyping the fight. I DO think Brock enjoys people hating him though.

Its no secret that I cant stand Brock. Hope Mir wins, but this fight can go either way. I dont think its going to be a long fight though. I see it ending one of two ways in the first.

I actually believe both guys are *******'s.

But I respect Brock far more becuse of his dedication to the sport than I do Mir.

Hopefully Mir gets his face bashed in.

And I used to be a huge Frank Mir fan

I don't like either of them as well, but I can't deny how good Mir has looked in every fight since he came back healthy. His last fight against Nog was an incredible display of improved stand-up, and I have to give him credit for his ever evolving ground game. I know he hugs Eddie Bravo's nuts a bit, training with him alot, but he still has some nasty ground skills (especially for his size).

I think Brock will never lose that WWE/WWF mentality or truly love the sport of MMA. I respect his strength and overall power, but his persona is absolutely awful.

MIR BY SUBMISSION!

First, I can never respect anyone as a fighter who shows up to fight in this type of shape, ever:

Second, Nogueira had a staph infection 3 weeks before the Mir fight and spent something liek 4 or 5 days in the hospital. Pretty sure that had a lot to do with Mir's "incredble improved standup".

Its also been only 3 fights since he got his ass handed to him by a true 205er in Vera.
Basically his last 3 fights have been vs a guy with no ground game (Hardonk), a guy fighter his 2nd ever MMA fight (Lesnar), and Nogueira!

Basically, he has a history of beating guys by sub in teh 1st round. Thsi is also the same guy who gassed vs Wes Sims.
If Brock gets past teh first round, I guarantee you Mir isnt winning this fight.

I actually think Mir will win by sub in the 2nd round.

If Randy (who is better at submissions than herring, but not quite as good as mir) couldnt get brock into a sub position in the first round, im not sure mir can either.

Mir will get him, but more than likely 2nd round by catching his neck or leg again, because lets face it, nobody is gonna kimura brock lesnar!

Although I want to see Brock win because I like him, I dont see it happening. But, anything is possible so im not counting either out. (kinda the same with alves/pierre)

If Mir is going to win this fight it is going to have to be by some sort of leg submission attempt, because there is no way he is getting Brock in a rear naked. Mir will never be in the type of dominant position to get that choke. If Brock is in Mir's guard Mir can attempt a kimura or triangle, but I think Brock is too strong to be submitted by either of those. I'm pretty high on Brock winning this fight and think he will do so by TKO in the 2nd or 3rd round.

I personally believe that Lesnar is going to tko Mir within 60 seconds of the 1st rd...Knocked out cold!

As far as a Kimura,Fedor could do that to Lesnar!

I would like nothing more than for Brock to knock Mir out COLD with a huge shot. I mean, he put him on his ass with a short right in the 1st fight. Imagine what he could do with some force behind it?

all of the interviews i've seen/heard of Mir sounded like he was just as full of himself as Brock. i heard that Mir's gameplan is to stand up against Brock. i think if that happens, Mir's ribs or skull will get shattered. his only shot is to catch Brock with a fast sub or land a flush shot like a Serra/St.Pierre shot.

Mir will try to stand w/ Brock.

He will realize how he sucks at stand-up.

They'll go to the ground.

Mir will realize he won't get lucky twice. I promise you Brock will come prepared to defend. He's a former national wrestling champion. You don't get that by just being athletic. Every wrestler who wrestles in college is athletic. You need to be a hardworker. With all the knock against Brock - he is undoubtedly a hard worker.

GnP - Brock victory.
