UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is set to return to the Octagon this summer.

Lesnar will fight the winner of the Shane Carwin vs. Frank Mir fight at UFC 111.

Lesnar appeared alongside UFC president Dana White on ESPN in the U.S on Wednesday to make the announcement.

Lesnar said that he had been feeling sick for some time while he was training for his fight with Shane Carwin, which was scheduled for UFC 106 last November.

He talked about being diagnosed with diverticulitis after it was originally suspected he had mononucleosis. Lesnar revealed that surgery was being considered but he began to feel better and heal, dropping 40lbs in the process. A visit to the Mayo Clinic revealed in Brock being told surgery was needed but a medical earlier this month revealed he had put 30lbs of his lost weight back on. Brock called it a miracle and said there are no risks in him returning to the Octagon.

If the winner of Carwin vs. Mir cannot fight Lesnar, Lesnar will face the winner of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Cain Velasquez who meet at UFC 110 next month.

I would love to see a Brock / Cain fight!

Either way, I am pumped up to see him come back!!

Here's what's going to happen.

Frank Mir defeats Shane Carwin to become the fake not-needed at this point champion, for the second time.

Brock Lesnar, the real champion, faces off against Frank Mir, the fake champion, for the heavyweight title unification for the second time.

End result will be Brock Lesnar rape chokes Frank Mir into submission and takes his fake title away from him for the second Summer in a row.

I would love to see that Sam!

Brock could finally finish off Mir and shut his punk ass up!

But, I dont believe Mir can beat Carwin, who is kinda like Brock, but half the actual fighter.

Unless Mir can get a quick sub, I dont think he can withstand Carwin's power

Brock will most likely beat Mir (if Mir beats Carwin), but he will not sub him. It will be like Mir / Brock 2, unless Mir whips out some sick sub.

The rape choke into submission was a joke, lol.

And as far as Carwin, I am not sold on him. He hasn't really beat anyone notable that I can think of off the top of my head. I'll have to look up his record. But I'm not going to Þhink he's a top contender until he shows me more. To me, he's the white Brett Rogers. All he has is one punch KO power.

I just looked up Carwin's record, and I think even less of the guy now. He's beat Gabe Gonzaga, and that's it! He doesn't even have a Herring type gatekeeper on his resume.

I'll say it again, he is the white Brett Rogers. All he has is one punch power.

I've always said the best way to beat Brock is to bum rush him at the start of the fight and start throwing bombs. And if Carwin were to do that instead of being cautious, then he may have a shot. But if he stalls with Brock, takes a few shots in the stand up, then gets taken down, goodnight Mr. Carwin, it was nice knowing you, have fun getting your head kicked off by Dos Santos in your next fight after getting pounded by Brock.
