No idea. I'm sure some people will make money off these. By all means, go after them if you want, but if I were you, I'd make sure they were gone before he has a card in a Bowman product come out in a couple years.[/quote:1z80qy6a]

Believe me, I am not buying any of these. I went to the game in 2007 and made a killing on those cards, but I also bought a bunch after the game via eBay. The only ones I have left are these, which might hold some value with the Razor exclusive deal on his cards.

My focus is on other cards of this year's AFLAC class. I will take an auto (Not talking about the auto AFLAC that might be released) over those rush job Topps cards any day of the week.

Has anyone heard an official print run on this year's cards? I know the game was free, but there still weren't that many people in the stands, and at only one card per person, it seems like it has to be lower than in previous years.

I wouldn't trust any numbers I hear. There are a couple of auciton on the bay for complete sets (40 cards?) already. At one per person, I have a hard time believe one person talked 39 other people into giving him the exact cards he needed.
I saw 3-4 guys with huge stacks, so I doubt more than 5-6 complete sets were
made.

You do realize there are at least two people who sell on eBay with an inside connection for those cards, right? We see it every year and it's the same two people selling the cards in bulk.

I saw it first hand in 2007 at the game. They aren't as limited as you think, plus wait until the "promo" sets start showing up for sale. You will see the same sellers with those too, in mass amounts.

Are they still making promo sets? I don't remember seeing any for '08.

They usually leak out into the public a few months after the game, mysteriously. You can notice the few certain sellers on eBay with them, which confuses some people. The prices will get a little wacky when/if they get released, so beware.

I am not sure why 2008 "promo" sets didn't release yet.

Yeah I hear ya. Basically these are valuable until they are no longer the only option for people to buy. Even your example there is the same idea...since Razor has the exclusive deal to Hood, your AFLACs there are one of the few options.

But yeah, my strategy is basically the same...go after non-AFLAC cards of the AFLAC class. Are you trying to get something of everyone for some sort of set? Or are you just looking for the guys you like?

Yeah I thought you were talkin about the USA stuff. How have you done flipping USA cards in the past? Do you usually try to do it before they are in a Bowman or EEE product (again, seems like that makes the most sense)? I'm kinda looking into picking up a thing or two myself but this kind of stuff is interesting to me.

It's an interesting science in buying/selling the USA stuff. This past year, it wasn't too hard with razor exclusive contracts in play. This coming year will be interesting.

Obviously, I will be selling the 16U stuff come draft time. The beauty of this set is that it's split between 2010 draft picks, and 2011 draft picks. Some might have another USE auto, but others might only have this one, which is also very limited & an exquisite type card.

The only other USA cards I have are Randal Grichuk Junior National team autos from the 2007 set. He was my favorite draft prospect this year, so I bought them really cheap. I don't even care if I resell them.

I bought a set last year from a guy at a show and am now looking to dump the 2008 version for half of what I paid for it & having little success doing that.
