he personalizes everything because he is a lock hall of famer and future all time HR leader.
he even said so

Okay, let me see where he said that.

He said it in an article on (Yahoo?) in which he also said he wants to play for the Yankees.

While he did express a desire to play for the Yankees and to one day be in the Hall, he never made any mention of being the alltime HR leader, nor did he use the word "lock" at any time.

Most 16-year-old kids don't have a realistic career path that they spend every waking minute towards. He does.

To me, Harper is more Sidney Crosby than Lebron - groomed prodigy with just an unrelenting work ethic, just waiting for your time to shine. Lebron has serious natural talent, but it's the drive and determination that got Sidney Crosby where he is, and what will take Harper to where he wants to be. Assuming his body holds up.

I was there too this weekend, and got Bryce on Thursday night. His dad was with him and said that he would sign anything we had (for me only a USA card and the SI) as long as he could personalize them.

The guy he turned down was hounding for three days and got at least 5 things signed.

As for players mentioned earlier in this thread, Jameson Taillon pitched for Pony yesterday and was great. Don't want to use the most overused term but he and Gabe Encinas were "dominant". I think they had 11 or 12 k's as a pair.

I guy who looked really good on Thursday night was Kyle Van Alstine. Was solid and really popping the glove. He didn't pitch much due to an ingrown toe-nail.

A couple other standouts were Nicky Delmonico (big strong kid), Kris Bryant (ditto, with tons of present power), and Will Allen (catcher with a solid stroke)

Just thought I'd throw out that the day before yesterday Harper pitched the 9th inning, 1 hit, 3 K's.
