Score one for Clay tonight, his second win over the Jays this season and his second straight good outing.

6 innings, 1 run for Clay
5 innings, 5 runs for Doc

Sox really need to take this series. Stealing one from Halladay does not happen very often and thankfully Buchholz took advantage of it

It's unbelievable that this is the third straight start Buchholz pitched against the other team's ace. First Sabathia, then Verlander, now Halladay. The Red Sox finally scored for him!

In those three starts, he has allowed just 5 runs in 19 innings (2.37 ERA) and only has one win to show for it. But it is encouraging to see Clay with three straight solid outings.

It sure is. Can you imagine Beckett, Lester, Buchholz, Matsuzaka, and Wake all being on top of their game for the last few weeks of the season?

How can you seriously say that Buchholtz is greater than Roy? You are making an assumption of Halladay on one start. Roy has dominated this year and this was his worst outing of the year. Let Clay pitch a couple more years first.

You completely missed the point of this thread.

In todays game, Buchholz was a hell of alot better than Halladay. Night and day better.

True, but the OP never stated that. If he was saying overall than it is completely not true. That was my point.

Of course he didnt state that. He didnt state it because he's not on crack. Halladay is probably gonna snag AL CY.

C'mon man.
