Bud Norris cools off Cardinals in 1st ML Start

Just got back from the game, Bud had a no hitter through 5 and really shut down the Redbirds for the first time since the All-Star break. Ended Holliday's hit streak at 9 games with the Cards, only gave up 2 hits in 7 innings pitched and struck out 5 with 91 pitches thrown. Picked up his first ML hit as well - Pujols mistakely threw the ball out to the ball boy who pitched it into the Cardinals dugout to be recycled...game was stopped until the ball could be retrieved ::facepalm::

Hope the Cubs choke it away tonight, they have to lose again one of these days...I mean they are the Cubs, right??

i was really impressed by him in the AAA as game...he has some nasty stuff and seems to be a bulldog on the mound

Here's hoping the Cards don't have to face Norris anytime soon again.
