What changes would you want the new commissioner to work on?

Inter league play?
Salary cap?

I was going to say get rid of inter league play but never mind I want to see Strasburg/Harper vs the Rangers at least once.

Not sure that a salary cap would make things more competitive. But it would probably make owners a lot happier to not pay $25 million to players who underperform or get hurt Pujols and Hamilton. That or make it non guaranteed money and rely on signing bonuses like the NFL.

I think it's fine the way it is but would probably rather see it taken away versus added to both leagues.

I could care less about Rose but he deserves to make the hall for his playing career not his time as a manager.

I like it the way it is but don't make it to where each team is represented take the top 25 in each league. No injury replacements and no letting starters out of the game due to their teams games.
Take off a full week and play the game on a Saturday or Sunday night.

Don't like the one game play in for the wild-card teams. Make 'em best of 3 series.

Speed up the games- one foot in the batters box at all times.

World Series games start at a normal time (first pitch by 8pm) with late afternoon games on weekends.

I think the 1 game wild card playoff game is stupid

I too think something should be done with the DH between leagues

I also think doing something to speed up games would be great

Rose needs to be reinstated.

The AS game needs to get rid of the home field advantage aspect. It was a cool gimmick 10 years ago, but it's gotten old now.

It doesn't matter who it is people will still complain. Its a lose lose job no matter what he or she does.

Inter league play? - Get rid of it. Why have an AL and a NL if they play each other so much? May as well just lump em all in one league and pick the team with the best winning percentage at the end of the season and give them the trophy. Which i do NOT want to see...

Salary cap? - Don't need it. The A's are in the playoffs without it. Why bother dickin around with trying to put one in.

Remove DH or add to NL? - Leave it alone. Its what makes some of us enjoy one league over the other.

Reinstate Pete Rose? - Get him in the HOF. Like the others said, for his playing career, not his managing.

All-Star game? Top players only. Are we in elementary school where everyone needs to participate? If you don't have an all star caliber player on your team, then you don't get represented in the all star game.

What is the average game time? Ive been to two games in the past month, and both games were three hours long. In my opinion, they seemed to go by very quickly. The Giants game last night flew by... In fact, i was bummed it was over. For how much tickets cost, i wouldn't want to go if the game didn't last longer than going to the movies.

Baseball won't have a salary cap, the MLBPA wont allow it. Same reason why the DH isn't going anywhere. Hopefully the new commish does these 3 things

- pressure the A's into moving from that dump of a stadium
- relocate the rays
- form an international draft (this needs to get done asap)
