I have heard a rumor for quite a while that George W Bush is the top candidate to take over for Selig whenever it would be he would retire. Not sure which one I'd rather have as the commish

One of the best things I've heard in a long time. Wish it was sooner though.

I agree that he sucks and has ****** things up and picked up speed; but someone remind me of something lately he has done that was on par with his 2000-2005 idiocy.

Why?

You probably like his politics, but why would he make a good commissioner?

In regards to Bush, and politics aside, I think the last thing baseball needs is another former owner as commissioner.

I honestly just think he would do a good job, but it would be hypocritical for me to want him to be the commissioner. I firmly believe no former owner should be the commish. So while I think he could do good, I wouldn't fully support it.

Well, you certainly don't have to back up opinion, so I'll accept your opinion.

Of course, in this case it would tough for any factual basis to back-up that specific opinion.

It's just a feeling I have, I know there is nothing to back it up. I'm not going to try to make something up. He just seems to have a passion for the game that I think would make him successful.

Like I said though, I don't like the idea of a former owner running things anyway. Feel the same away about former players also.

This news is obviously what the Mayans based their end of the world beliefs on....the survival of the human race depends on Bud Selig remaining commissioner of baseball, unfortunately him stepping down means the world ends...it all makes sense now.

If you're going to name drop, go full force.

Brosnan. I think he's the 4th highest ranking official in the MLB.
