It all depends on the type of product you are breaking and what you are hoping to get out of it. If you are breaking a base brand product like Topps 1 or 2 or UD 1 or 2, then retail is the way to go since you will get more cards for your money. If you are looking for hits then you should avoid retail. Panini and Upper Deck both purposefully put their weak autograph and jersey cards in retail in order to make their hobby products stronger. Topps does not do this so there is no telling what hits you will get out of their retail products.

Yah I did rack packs retail of 2007 Topps and made out like a bandit. I pulled 3 Jeter/Mantle/Bush cards that I sold for $200 a pop and in one of the rack packs was a David Wright auto...

Nice! If you pull a Jacoby UER, I think those still pull in around $70-80

Chashawk - I got bored with it. Muckraking gets tiring after a while. How many different ways can someone say that Richard Mcwilliam and Judy Heeter are **********? I'd rather just answer questions on message boards and be a little more positive about the hobby.

Are the 07 ASG Jersey and Patch cards available in retail?

If so, let me know if you pull any. I am going to finally finish my set. (I went to the game and decided to start....but lost focus).
