$2.50 shipping is absolutely a 5 star. I give 5 stars up to $4.00 if over $4 I start lowing the star rating.

Why am I rambling on like a moron you may ask??!! Well, I want YOUR opinion, is $2.50 TOO much to ship a card in a padded envelope?

that's 5-star worthy on shipping, imho. that, or anyone who offers free shipping or $2 shipping. $3.00 would be 4 star worthy if a card or two is being shipped.

4 stars? Are you serious?

Anything Under 4.00 for Bubble Mailer with tracking is fine by me. As long as the item takes less than 7 biz days I am happy. As long as sellers clearly outline what they are charging me for, I have no problem if they actually provide the service they charge. It gets bad when sellers charge for something then send much different that I get angry. I've learned that most buyers expect shipping to almost be free, I'd rather get low DSR's than take huge losses for shipping.

+1 I don't want 4 stars for shipping at $3.49 when it's posted on the auction.

i don't care if shipping is 1000.00 on a 2000.00 card that i get for 1000.00.

I always charge 2.50, and my DSR is at 4.7 or so. It costs me roughly 2.35 to ship w/DC, so I add the extra .15 for the bubble mailer & having to drive to the P.O. I'm taking a loss, but some people are stupid.

Here is how I personally put DSR ratings as a buyer:

Free shipping to 2.50: 5 stars

2.51-3.00: 4 stars

3.00-3.50: 3 stars

3.51-4.00: 2 stars

Anything over 4.00 gets 1 star

Of course it is very much different if I request insurance. I just get mad when I pay 3.50 and get the package in the mail and there is a 1.00 stamp on it.

What makes me even madder is the fact that I just paid 10.80 for a 15 card lot for my 1957 topps set. That guy is definetly getting 1 star, and a comment of critisicm from myself. I knew it when I bid, but its still outrageous.

If you are in fact unhappy with the shipping charges, why are you bidding/buying??? I can't see leaving anything but 5 stars after you AGREE on the shipping when you bid/buy. THIS is why people get frustrated about the star system. Example, a guy charges $3.51 for shipping, which you AGREE TO WHEN YOU BID/BUY, gets a 2 star rating? YIKES. Thank god I only do free shipping, because I would not be able to deal with that crap...

Agreed and I want your ebay ID, I don't want 3 stars for providing a service up front.

This is quickly turning into a bitch-fest.

The only reason I can see for people to give less than 5 stars would be due to the packaging in relation to the price of shipping.

There is no seperate category that says "if your ****** of a seller charged $4 for s&h and sent you a PWE, click here".

People give less stars for s&h when they feel the card wasn't shipped as promised. I do anyway. If a seller tells me he's going to ship in a penny sleeve, top loader, bubble mailer, with confirmation, and that's why he wants $3-4, fine with me.

If he ships it loose in a PWE, or not in a toploader, or not in a bubble mailer, or without confirmation, he ripped me off for s&h and is getting 1-2 stars.

I charge $2.49 for new sleeve, new loader, new bubbler - no matter the price of the card. Sometimes it costs me a few cents more, sometimes a few cents less.

I expect the same from the people I buy from.

Send me crap, you get crappy stars.

But that makes sense, leaving less stars for an already agreed to shipping price does not.

I'm mostly a buyer, but I have listed some stuff lately.

I ALWAYS give sellers 5 across the board unless something was way out of line.

I usually get the cards out within 2-3 days. I literally do the best I can. I have about 9 sales, so as soon as I get some more feedback, I'll see if people have hit me.
