Since entering the card hobby:

What has been your most expensive single card you've purchase and which one?
What has been your most expensive single card you've sold and which one?

My most expensive purchase was for 200USD. The card was an '09 Charlie Blackmon Bowman AU Super-Fractor.

My most expensive sold wasn't anything major: An '07 UD Black Quad Padres (Adrian Gonzalez, Chris Young, Chase Headley and another player) for 75USD.

However, my big buys come in game-used memorabilia: A Todd Helton GU uniform with Cap for a bit under 1,000. Ultra-High-End Rockies cards to tend to be inexpensive in the relative sense.

Most expensive card I've ever acquired was a 2009 Legendary Cuts Ted Williams cut auto/15. Cash value(I didn't buy it but traded my design services for it) was 900

Most expensive card I've ever sold was a 2008-09 UD Ice Glacial Graphs Wayne Gretzky auto SP to a big Gretzky collector on ebay for 800.

I have had sales all up and down from that range but the Gretz is the biggie for me.

I bought a Barry Sanders Playoff card that was serial #ed 3 of 5 for $650 at a mall in Toledo. Then he retired and I thought I was screwed! I looked up the Barry Sanders supercollector from Beckett mag, and he traded me a 1999 POH Babe Ruth bat card for it. I sold the Ruth for $750. Also bought a 1999 UD SP Top Prospects Presidents Edition Drew Henson at the National in Chicago for $600. Sold it less than a month later for $1050.
