I am not a Ripken collector, but I have been searching for one Ripken auto for a while now...Do any of you collectors have this one:

2009 UD Ballpark Single Swatch Auto

Not looking to aquire it from a Ripken collector. I just want to see that it actually exists. There are a few of this set that I havent seen on the market or in a collection. I am starting to doubt that a few exist.

Just as I thought. Glad I was able to add the Leap to my PC finally.

The Leap at auction ends today, has 14 bids, and is already doubled what I paid for mine.

Yeah I see that, I hope I'm not in this hobby long enough to ever pay $200 for that card... yikes.

I managed to grab that Holoview Red for $50 shipped, how's that seem? About average? I tracked one earlier this year that sold for almost $80 raw, but that seller was auctioning the whole red set one by one so perhaps it was bid up a bit.

Someone way overpaid on that one... told you that other seller left a lot on the table. ::facepalm::

Last one of these I remember seeing at auction went for $155, paid $117 for mine.

And I paid $105 DLVD. ;)

Looks like 2 bidders battling it out. My guess is set collectors.
Any fellow Ripken collector land it?

Got a couple more worthy links for the fellow Ripken guys.

Apparently $300 for a /50 90s insert wasn't too unrealistic, the precious metal gem hit damn near $300 too:

And a Fleer PSA 10 rookie card broke $600, which I thought was about a $250-$300 card?

I'm going to speculate and think that these sales are somewhat related to tax return season. I'm hoping that I'll be able to grab stuff cheap during the summer when people go on vacation and aren't as concerned with hunting eBay for collectibles.

Wow!! Looks like paying $200 for my 1999 Star Rubies wasn't a bad price then!

I am in the process of collecting information and images for an update on my site. Last week a super rare card of Doc Edwards hit the auction block. The card looks like it is from the 1981 WTF set but it is not. To get the deal to print the team sets, the guy who did the sets had to agree to do a Kodak promotional card of Doc Edwards. The promo card was on the same sheet as the WTF cards. When the sheets were printed the guy doing the sets took a single sheet and pulled from the press. When he returned all of the Kodak cards had been cut off the sheets, leaving only 1 uncut sheet that had the promo cards. I spoke with the guy who owns the sheet and he is sending images for my site. Can't wait to see it.

Me too.
After upgrading my green I sold my other one for $65.
I did have a refractor line, but still. $123
I paid $125 for my Purple. :)

You did pretty good considering it had a line. The last one (w/out line) only went for $51.11.

PS: I paid $80 for my purple :)
