Ah so you won that Legacy Russ, nice grab. Seller is a member on here, he's the guy that coordinated the PSA buy this month. I only know this because his paypal addy was something like 90sinserts4meplz at hotmail, and I doubt there's someone else selling on eBay under that name.

I had some interest in that Green crusade too, but stopped chasing after about $80 or so. I'm sure that a lot of these recent sales have been influenced by tax return season, so hopefully good buying opportunities arise this summer.

I did win one Ripken last night though, and I surprised it went this low for being a /100 90s insert:

Well I guess it's a parallel more than an insert, but I think it looks badass. I wanted one of these the second I saw them in the 90s insert thread, and I'm glad to have it out of the way.

Definitely a sweet card to have in a PC! I agree with you - it's a badass bling! :D

sorry to be posting such a HUGE scan, but this is a thing of pure beauty:

No disrespect but it's off center top to bottom and there's a small dot in the bottom black area. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm just kind of picky on centering.

Vinny, its not my card, so im not offended lol

also, its a really large scan, so that magnifies everything a bit.

'85 Topps are SO temperamental with the paper stock, it's frustrating

I'm glad you understand and didn't rip me. I hesitated but couldn't control myself. LOL

It just shows how even graded cards can be subjective. BGS would probably call it a 9.5.

Best Always,

Continuing the theme of serial numbered auctions I see that Burbank sold a 2000 EX /8 via BIN for $550.

Is that too high? I am surprised anyone buys something from Burbanks...

I have no idea as I do not track the serial numbered stuff.

Ripken Legacy arrived today that I won last week.

Nice surprise, it's the '97 version (which I needed as well), not the '98 version as it was listed.
('98 "books" $120 - '97 "books" $250).
Either way, I'll take it for $60. :)

Got this one in the other day from 200lbhockeyplayer. Sent it right out for Cal's mail order signing the next day. Also getting him to inscribe it "Ironman". Should turn out pretty sweet. :)
