Cal Ripken, Jr. collector's thread

I need some help from all of you Ripken collectors. I have been searching for the 2009 Ballpark Swatch Autograph card. Do any of you collector have one? I am not looking to buy it (unless its for sale ) I just want to know that it exists.

Yes this card does exist. I have gotten blown out on the 2 that have been up on the bay.

Not that I am aware of. The nicest sticker dual is the Premier one IMO.

Back in 1999 I was collecting Tim Hudson along with Rickey, as Rickey's cards had become a bit too expensive. I picked up a lot on eBay of these 1999 Ultimate Victory "ghost" error cards. On this one, the front is of Ripken, along with the shadow and 1999 rookie logo of Ed Yarnall, with a Yarnell back.

I just came across these again, and was going to list them on eBay, but was curious how many of them might be out there. I've never run across another one, but since I don't believe there's a Rickey (at least I've never seen one), it's not something I would search for regularly.

I was watching it. I have a 5 (along with an ungraded set) and was considering upgrading as well. I thought the ending price was crazy. I think I paid around $550 for mine and was going a little higher but the thing just kept going up.

I have the Blue Border as a SGC 84. However, I just want the cards OTHER than the Ripken.

Personally I think the price was fair. Solid grade, you know it is legit and the other cards should be in good condition. Although it is a checklist you. have to remember Cal is in the set twice. I would love to know how many sets still exist.

Just realized the reserve was not met. $1,200 is a bit much IMHO.
