I LOVE the Century Marks autos. I'm so pissed I sold my Schilling off many moons ago.

Congrats on the fundraising Chris. It just goes to show what a stand up guy Cal is.

Thank you so much. Is anyone else watching the logo auction ending soon? Am I missing something or does the logo patch not look like the one on the jersey pictured on the back of the card? Maybe it is my screen.

What's the link? Which one?

By the way, that's is how Cal Ripken Jr would do - help those in need. I have the utmost respect for him, period.

I felt bad about the auction though. We had a downpour 30 minutes before the silent auction closed. The rain drove off a lot of bidders. I won the signed picture for $25 but plan on either giving retial for it or donating it to another auction.

Why do you think it's low? Just wondering...[/quote:3a8h7n32]

Crappy listing, my guess was $750ish.

Good purchase. I just couldn't get myself to pull the trigger.

Was Timeless the set that did the cards with bogus game used baseball pieces from the 2131 game?

Yeah, that is awesome.
Player collectors love when that happens.

I live and grew up in Baltimore. I was wondering if anyone likes Cal Ripken's "newer" autograph? By "newer" I mean like in the past 10 years or so, whenever he changed his autograph style. I have his autograph on a bat & ball (pictured) from 1991 and you can see he signed his whole last name unlike the "newer" where it's the R a line for the I and the J. Is one more desirable then the other?

If anyone is interested I also had items I donated to the HOF from Ripken's last game played in his streak that ended Sept 19, 1998. My uncle was a usher at Camden Yards in the mid 1990's to 2001. I donated 2 full unused season tickets (last 2 games in streak), 1 used ticket to the first game missed in his streak and usher hat/sweater that he wore when his streak ended. http://s947.photobucket.com/albums/...Donation to the Hall of Fame - Cal Ripken Jr/

Just grabbed a ticket stub from the 2001 All-Star Game. Can't wait to get it signed! Not a ticket collector but the significance is obvious to everyone.

That's smart thing to do! Looking forward meeting you, RITM at the Nationals.

The Nationals (along with other Ripken collectors) will miss you, Russ...

Will head over there at 2:30pm. Very much looking forward to it!

Unfortunately I can't make it this year. With it being in Baltimore I really thought this was the year to make it. Maybe next year. Either way I'm debating on an inscription for the ticket itself. It was such a defining moment I am thinking that adding an inscription from Cal on the ticket would be amazing.

Knew it was you winning that! I thought about bidding on it, but backed out because of his number (8/10). Hope to see that card again on Ebay...

Congrats, Russ![/quote:3sjyb5hz]
Thanks bobby.
You won't see it on ebay again.
Unless you want to exchange for that logo, then you can see it any time. ;)
