I went through all of my All-Star cards to check for the trademark and didn't find any variations. Seems like Franco, Puckett, Boggs, Bo Jackson, and Baines are all missing the trademark on the front of their cards. I didn't find a single copy of any of those that had a trademark. I didn't find a single copy of any other All-Star card that was missing a trademark.

That's not to say that the variation doesn't exist but it would be a legitimately rare variation if it does. I'll certainly keep looking.

They absolutely do not exist. Having opened product from the entirety of the run from multiple sources, I can confirm this. Now the question I can’t answer is, where does one find the red star variations on the grand slammers? Not in factory sets, that’s for certain.

They are in cello product. I saw someone pull a red and a yellow of the same player in the same box just a few days ago.

With the help from my friend Todd, I've been hitting this set hard the past few weeks. After he discovered the Howard Johnson All-Star and Rick Reuschel All-Star variations, I decided to sit down with the 300-400 All-Star cards I have and go through them with a loupe. Sure enough, we've got new variations to report. Keep in mind, I only went over the photo portion of the cards so I reserve the right to admit I missed something later on down the road if it's on the back or in the name area.

First, the most varied. The Howard Johnson All-Star card has a scratch in the top-left corner of the photo (similar to the Steinbach All-Star card). When it's in-hand and you look at it under a loupe, there's 5 different variations -- red scratch, blue scratch, white scratch, red & blue scratch w/ red on top, and red & blue scratch w/ blue on top.



The Reuschel All-Star is weird. It looks like just your run of the mill print defect with the black smudging in the left border but it got a wide release. My friend pulled multiples from cello boxes bought in SoCal and I had multiples from wax cases bought on the East Coast and MidWest. The smudging is exactly the same.



Next up is the Bo Jackson All-Star card. It can be found with a circled T by his left knee or with it airbrushed out.



Next is the Kevin Mitchell All-Star. It can be found with either one, two, or zero blue triangles on his stomach.




Kirby Puckett All-Star can be found with the dust around his right calf being mostly brown or mostly teal.




And Ozzie Smith All-Star can be found with a green scratch in the dirt or a black scratch in the dirt.

Has anyone confirmed the existence of red star Grand Slammers other than Todd Benzinger? That's the one that I saw mentioned online and it is the one that I pulled as well.

I've found at least 12 different border variations for the Will Clark Grand Slammers card #6.

I looked through 50-60 Clark's and none have red star.

A timely bump, plasticman. I just opened a box and decided to go through it card-by-card with a loupe. One can imagine how tedious that was.

Of course, the set is like fertile soil still and I was able to pull out 19 cards that had the potential for variations. After going through just a few thousand of my stash from a different case I was able to confirm 8 new variations that were corrected. I've got a stack of about 10 cards that I'll continue to pull out and check so the list could grow. I also found two more All-Star cards (Stewart and Clark) that I'm nearly certain will have variations, I just need to pull out my AS stash and cross-check them.

This set seemingly has no end to the amount of errors and variations to it. It shows no signs of slowing down, just a matter of when I decide to give up searching.

I was also lucky enough to pull two DKs and the DK checklist with No Period after INC.

Diamond Kings ----- Some DKs have been reportedly found with No Period after INC on back.
These should be considered difficult, if not rare, and not all DKs are known to
exist with No Period INC. A stark contrast to the availability of Period/No Period

Perversely, I'm kind of enjoying this thread. It's one of the most useless sets of all time, but it still takes me back to my youth.

Actually, it's not first tier useless, maybe second tier useless. The cards actually aren't really that bad looking. Nothing like 1991 Fleer or 1991 Donruss. And it has a lot of fun variations. Some of them are pretty trivial but hey who am I to judge.

Speaking of which, I'd like a copy of the #111 Alomar "white dot" variation if anyone has an extra. Just for sh!ts and giggles. Glad to send you a couple bucks for it.

Still is a favorite issue of mine although I gave up the chase years ago.

The funniest card is the Neselek which lists his birthday as 1985 making him 5 years old when the card was issued.

Does anyone have the #18 Howard Johnson Diamond King with the line on front corner and the full number on the back. I am willing to buy that card from you. Me and my father spent three weeks going through all of our 1990 donruss to put a complete Master set with every error and variation in it. But that is the last card for a set. Hopefully someone has it here.

I saw you had said that you found different versions of the borders on the grand slammers. Did you notice that the ones with different borders don't have the black bar on the back?
